When asked what my favorite makeup item is, I always respond with, “Eyeshadow!” There is no question about it. I personally feel that is the best way to show my artistic side. It let’s me express my mood with colors, shapes, and effects. The new Milani Cosmetics Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows have an entire rainbow of colors from which you can choose. There is absolutely something for everyone!
This is the ULTIMATE review of these eyeshadows. I am going to cover everything from a look at the eyeshadows to swatches on fingertips, forearm and OF COURSE on the eyes. There are 30 shades and I am going to break them into color families as best I can.
The Greens and Golds
The first group I am going to show you are greens and oranges. I would call them Fall shades, but maybe that is because of the time of year. These shades are actually relevant year round. Because these are all warm in tone they would look fantastic on tan skin, so these are perfect for summer too!
Bella Khaki
Bella Emerald
Bella Bronze
Bella Copper
Bella Gold
Bella Mandarin
The Lights
These are all the shades that are very light. They could also be considered nudes, I suppose. Perfect for highlighting the brow bone or inner corner of the eye. Also really great for a one-shade-eye-look.
Bella White
Bella Diamonds
Bella Chiffon
Bella Ivory
Bella Champagne
The Coffees
These are perfect crease shades. They would all be lovely in the crease AND also stand alone shades. I can see a very simple eye look or a dramatic smoky look with any of them!
Bella Caffe
Bella Cappuccino
Bella Espresso
The Smokes
These shades could definitely be called the dramatics! They are dark, shimmery, and so very amazing.
Bella Black
Bella Charcoal
Bella Gray
The Blues
These are all of the shades in the blue category. From the deepest navy to the brightest skies.
Bella Navy
Bella Cobalt
Bella Teal
Bella Sky
The Pinks and Purples
The final category are the pinks and purples. These are the ones that I think are the prettiest. This category can also be one of the more difficult to wear. Because pinks and purples around the eye can make you look naturally tired and sick, applying these can be tricky. I almost always create a glow-y effect with a white or champagne around it to keep the pink and purple in the focus of the look. Surrounding it with the lighter, brighter shade seals it in and diffuses the illusion of looking “tired”!
Bella Pink
Bella Rose
Bella Fuchsia
Bella Rouge
Bella Violet
Bella Purple
And here are the eye swatches. I have them in the same orders I have them listed within the post from left to right, top to bottom. This little collage right here took HOURS! I think it is very important to see the eyeshadows on the eye. When I am looking up items I am considering buying I actually want to see them on the eye. Arm swatches and finger-tip swatches are good, but seeing them how they are supposed to be seem is extremely helpful!
I actually really, REALLY love Milani Cosmetics. I honestly can’t think of one thing from the brand that I didn’t enjoy. You can also see some other reviews I have done on Milani products. The Milani Bella Eyes eyeshadows can be found anywhere that sells Milani. I know that Walgreens has them for $3.99!
