I am becoming ridiculously obsessed with lip products lately. Specifically I am loving lip crayons. The Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon is one that I am particularly #obsessed with. Not only is it convenient in a twist up lip pencil, but the entire range is long-wearing, matte AND moisturizing. I know, right? All of that in ONE lippie! I have 6 shades to show you today!
WARNING: The lip crayons in this post may encourage excessive drooling. Be careful you don’t get any on your keyboard.
“BITE’s latest breakthrough formula boasts a collection of beautiful nudes, striking reds, and deep burgundies with a matte yet moist texture. The secret is the moisture-locking power of orange peel wax along with the antioxidant properties of resveratrol. The colors are water-resistant, and long wearing.” – Bite Beauty
IN LOVE. The shades that I have for you today are Framboise, Fraise, Peche, Sucre, Tatin, and Glace.
Framboise | Vibrant pink/purple.
Fraise | Jeweltone red.
Peche | Warm peach.
Sucre | Warm pink.
Tatin | Rose pink.
Glace | Dusty mauve.
Seriously. Look at that finish. It is perfectly matte without being flat. You can see that there is a satiny sheen, but NO SPARKLE. Usually matte lipsticks dry out my lips, but I am happy to say that not only do these NOT dry my lips out — they actually leave them feeling hydrated. Win, win.
I thought immediately that my favorite shade would be Glace, and maybe it still is, but I find myself going gaga over Peche and Fraise as well! AHHH! In love!
I do want to mention that the packaging is a bit different than it originally was. I am not sure I am happy about that. Let me explain. I love packaging that actually lets me know what shade I am chosing without having to open them up. The old packaging had colored ends, and the new packaging is all black. I DO think the solid color is pretty, but not as functional. When you open them up the plastic around the crayon itself is not colored. Again, pretty… but you still have to open it to know what shade you are looking at.
There are actually 12 shades in the Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon line, and I am convinced that I need the other 6. In case you didn’t know, these crayons are all free of parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates and are certified gluten-free. I love that the brand is named Bite Beauty because these pencils are also made with food-grade ingredients. The pigmentation and performance on the Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon are out of this world and you can pick them up at Sephora and there is even a line for J. Crew!
