I like polish as much as the next girl but I rarely cover it. I am so thrilled about the new NARS nail polish formula that I just had to share! Not only are there new formulas, there is also decent sized range of new shades that will be released July 15th on the NARS website and August 1st in Sephora. The two nail polishes I have for you today are Amarapura and Pastorale. They are both metallic and gorgeous! I can’t wait until the 15th so that I can stock up on more shades.
The NARS nail polish formula was already perfect and then they went along and made it even more creamy and opaque. They switched the brush to be flatter and wider, which I particularly like because it hugs the nail and requires less strokes to get the nail finished. The bottle has also changed a bit. The square cap pops off and leaves you with a smaller, easier-to-manuever handle. Lots of polishes that have more awkward caps are doing this. It makes the bottle pretty to look at and easier to use.
Pastorale is a pretty copper shade. When you turn it into the sunlight you will see hints of coral and rose gold. Very complex and very beautiful!
Amarapura is a gorgeous metallic steel/silver shade that leans blue.
As many of you you may know, I am terrible at painting my nails and the new formula NARS nail polish formula and brush combined made it super easy for me. All of the coats were even and opaque. I am in LOVE. Pastorale and Amarapura the remainder of the summer, for sure. Also, these wear really well. I actually painted my nails with them on Monday and did NOT apply a top coat because I wanted to test the wear time. It is now Thursday and I haven’t experienced a single chip. *jaw drop* I can’t believe it. Most nail polishes chip on me the first or second day. So again. These will be available July 15th on the NARS website and August 1st in Sephora.
So tell me in the comments below, what makes a nail polish good? What is your criteria?
