Cleaning makeup brushes has always been the bane of my makeup-loving existence. It is so fun to dip your brushes into blush and eyeshadow and all that is holy but when the time comes to clean the brush off it is just… not all that fun or easy. I would also like to mention that I have an unnaturally large brush collection so it also could potentially take YEARRSSSSSSS. Another problem with cleaning my brushes is that my fingers turn into prunes. ANYWAY, I am going to show you how I clean my makeup brushes with the BrushEgg. I saw the BrushEgg about a month ago and IMMEDIATELY decided I needed it in my life.
The BrushEgg is a small, affordable brush cleaning tool that helps get brushes cleaner faster and cuts down on the amount of cleanser used! My pictures make it look giant but the BrushEgg is actually pretty small. Small enough to slide onto 1-2 fingers. That means it is easy to store.
There are two different textures on the BrushEgg. The groves on the bottom are meant to help agitate the bristles to help release built up product and the knobs at the top are for foaming and lathering. The larger part is perfect for all brushes, big and small, but the little knobs are perfect for smaller ones like liner, pencil or smudger brushes.
I posted a picture of these to my Instagram the other day which syndicates itself to my Twitter, Facebook Page and my personal Facebook account. I cannot tell you how many questions about this little preciousness I received. I decided that if my little corner of the world was that interested that I would do a blog post on it to share with you wonderful people.
If you want one of these little babies for yourself, and TRUST ME, you do then head over to their website and buy one for $8. You can’t choose the color you receive but both shades (pink and mint) are pretty fantastic!
