I absolutely love going out to dinner. I love getting all dolled up and dressed to the 9s and the entire process of getting ready. You probably figured that out since I primarily blog about beauty and makeup! haha Anyway, one of my favorite restaurants is BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. They just built one RIGHT BESIDE my house. Not kidding, like a 2 minute drive. That being said, we drove down to Orlando a couple weeks ago to meet up with some good friends of ours and have dinner at their local BJ’s Restaurant. We got stuck in traffic on the way down so we used the new BJ’s Mobile App to order our food with the Dine In Order Ahead feature so we didn’t inconvenience our friends by making them wait.
In case you aren’t familiar with the new BJ’s Mobile App, it is available for free on iPhone and Android devices so go download that immediately. When you are signing up for your account you set up a reward account (or attach an already existing account). With this rewards account you build up points and redeem them on money off the bill or fun food items.
To use the Dine In Order Ahead feature you just click on the Order Ahead button and then choose the Dine In option. You select the restaurant location of your choice and you are then brought to their menu. There is so much to choose from at BJ’s Restaurant that this part could take you a while to get through. Pick out your food finalize the details with the time of arrival and how many people will be in your party.
When you arrive at the restaurant at time you specified you let the host/hostess know and they will go ahead and add you to the Preferred Waitlist and trigger your food and/or beverage preparation to process. I didn’t have to wait because we were meeting up with friends that were already there so we were ushered right to our seats.
And OH MAN was our dinner fantastic. We ordered two different appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and corn fritters. They were both tasty but the fritters were amazing and next time I am going to get two orders of those!
For my dish I chose the Chicken Limone. Since I had the combination in high school I have a thing for pasta with artichoke hearts in it. This dish has sun dried tomatoes, chicken, a creamy sauce… Now that I am staring these pictures in the face I want this entire meal over again.
My husband got the fish tacos. He loves Mahi Mahi and that is what is in these flavorful tacos. He likes to order fish tacos at pretty much every restaurant we go to that serves them and he said that these are the best he has ever had. He orders them every time we go there now.
While I was at the restaurant I Instagram’d a picture of the appetizer. So yummy!
Waiting on your waiter to deliver the bill (at any restaurant) can sometimes take a long time. When I am fed and happy I am usually ready to go and I think that is the way most people feel. At BJ’s Restaurant you don’t have to wait on someone to bring you your bill because of the BJ’s Mobile App. After you are done eating you can use the app to pull up your bill and pay right from your phone with the Mobile Pay feature. We have eaten at BJ’s Restaurant 2-3 times since I downloaded the app and each time we have gotten $5 off of our bill just for choosing to pay it through the app. You draw your signature right onto the screen of your phone and process it through and you are done! It is seriously that easy.
