Summer is here and we are going to lounge by the pool or beach in our naked faces. This means that we need to put our best face forward and rid ourselves of blemishes. These tips to banish breakouts actually apply all year round, so feel free to follow them and customize the products you use to fit your specific skincare needs.
{one} CLEAN
This sounds so simple, but washing your face twice a day will make all the difference. Cleaning it just once a day isn’t enough. Think about how many times a day you wash your hands. Why do you wash your hands? To rid it of bacteria and grime. The majority of us touch our faces all day long. Think about what we are transferring!
Algenist Purifying & Replenishing Cleanser
{two} EXFOLIATE
The summer months are hotter and cause us to sweat more often. Sometimes sweat can get trapped in the pores and cause a breakout. Using a gentle daily exfoliator will remove impurities and help keep the pores clear.
Garnier® Clean + Blackhead Eliminating Scrub
{three} MOISTURIZE
Chances are if you are reading this you have a breakout and you have probably tried an acne product or two. Those products are fine but they are full of ingredients that dry your skin out. Make sure you keep your skin hydrated.

{four} PAY ATTENTION
There are other factors that can contribute to your facial skin. For starters a lot of the hair products that we use can cause irritation due to fragrances and heavy oils. They can get onto your face and clog your pores creating breakouts. Another thing to pay attention to is the towel you use to dry your face after cleaning. You definitely want to use fresh towels so that you don’t put bacteria that you have wiped away BACK onto your skin.
{five} STAY HEALTHY
Exercise and water consumption improve your overall health, including your skin. STAY HYDRATED!
