I went to the zoo with my sister and our kids last week and had a great time. There is a newer exhibit in the Jacksonville Zoo called “Land of the Tiger” and I am obsessed with it. I have been in love with tigers ever since I can remember. When I lived in Mississippi, the school I attended was very small. Small enough that it was K-12 all in the same building. Eventually they built an elementary school across the street but I went to school in the same building for 12 years. Our mascot was actually a tiger. I think seeing tons of pictures of this beautiful creature while in those walls really left a lasting impression on me.
My son snapped this picture with a cell phone while we were there. Maybe I should get him to start taking my makeup look pictures because he did a fabulous job! I took dozens of photos of this tiger and NEVER got one this good. haha I was so inspired by their beauty that I was dying to do an inspired look with some new Summer goodies I have.
Gah… such a beautiful animal. Anyway. I used colors that I found similar. Don’t get me wrong… I am not doing crazy tiger stripes. I am making a seriously wearable Tiger inspired makeup look.
A Tiger’s eye is my favorite. I love that it is completely lined in black and even has a flick. Hence the term “cat-eye”! :) I tried to stick with shades that were natural in the coloring of a Tiger.
