I just love the Summer months. They weather is nice and there is always something fun going on, always something to celebrate. My older sisters, who happen to be twins, actually have a birthday a couple days before the 4th of July. Growing up I thought that the entire country shot off fireworks because they were celebrating their birthday! haha Oh the thoughts of children. Now that we are older, live far apart, and I know that the fireworks have an entirely different meaning I try and find a way to show them I care every year. What better way to do that than with a Hallmark card?
It is kind of difficult to choose the right cards for twins. You don’t want to get them the same card because they have definitely dealt with the whole “It is cute to have the same things” scenario over and over again in life. You also don’t want to go in two completely different directions either. If you got one sappy card and one humorous card the one that got the funny one could be offended that you didn’t gush all over them—even if that totally fits their personalities.
I was checking out Hallmarks Value Card section at Walmart a few days ago (which is massive) and I found a bunch of great selections at a really low price. And they were all gorgeous. I shuffled through some funny ones but I didn’t see anything that were semi-similar. That can be a good thing but I was looking for something a teensy bit more similar-but-different.
After picking up and reading like 30 cards I stumbled upon the most perfect options. Who doesn’t love cake? I also love that they are bright and have a glow affect from the sparklers and the candles. It is extremely pleasing to the eye and will immediately make them smile!
One of the Hallmark Cards has a Polka Dot cake with sparklers on the front and the other one is a bright cake with tons of tall candles. I would personally love to have EITHER of those as my own birthday cake! What I think makes these two cards perfect is that they essentially ARE THE SAME but they are different enough that it really will go without being noticed. And you know what I like even more? Each card cost me 47¢! Crazy good deal, right?
Make sure you check out this site to sign up for Hallmark Rewards. For every 5 cards you report into their system a new reward is available to you. The last time I cashed in my rewards I got a Starbucks gift card! I actually created a post before helping you step by step enter your cards to reap the rewards, click the link to see that.
