Ok people… I have read about these boxes all over the interwebz and I finally took the plunge and tried one out. What I am talking about are the Memeboxes. These boxes contain Korean-based beauty products and are sold internationally. Being an Asian-beauty lover I am totally on board with this whole concept. I can’t believe this is my first purchase to be honest. The box that I am showing you today is the Luckybox #5.
“We only have a limited supply of each Memebox series, and Luckybox was created to bring back our most popular items selected from previously sold-out Memeboxes, all combined in one wonderful collection. Each Luckybox contains a selection of products from past Memeboxes, occasionally including a few new favorites we simply could not resist including. Just like our Memebox and Superbox, Luckybox products are sourced directly from Korea, including only the best-loved items thoughtfully curated by our cosmetic aficionados at Memebox.” – MEMEBOX
I am going to go into some detail on all of the products included in this box. Of course, I am going in no particular order. There are so many items I am almost overwhelmed!
Miguhara B.P Cream
“This dual-function cream serves as both a BB cream as well as a primer. It keeps skin silky and even-toned, while controlling excessive sebum through its oil-free formula.” I have actually used this a few days in a row now. They included 2 3ml sample tubes. This product was featured in Luckybox #3 and #4. I find that it really helped the application of my makeup overtop. Today, for instance: I applied my skincare, then this, and then my IT Cosmetics CC cream. I have never seem that CC Cream look so flawless. I am a fan of this and wish it would have been a full-sized tube. Full size retails or $37.
O& Soap Berry Bubble Cleanser
“Saponin from the zest of the soap berry is known to have excelling cleansing effect and was even used b Indians as a soap cleanser. The soap berry together with mineral water creates bouncy-textured bubbles to thoroughly remove all residues, dead skin cells, and sebum for a naturally-glowing complexion.” I am loving this stuff. I have never felt more thick or rich lather IN MY LIFE. I havent actually used it on my face yet but I am loving it as far as a swatch cleanser. I am trying to use up the facial cleanser that is currently in my shower so I can move on to this one. I already know it is amazing though just from how well (and fast) that it cleans up my swatch arms! This is a full size and retails for $25.
Dr.G BIO-RTx Mentor Cream
“This cream controls sebum production and enhances the skin to ensure that the skin retains a moisture balance without getting too oily. Highly recommended for oily skin.” I am so excited to use this. I actually slathered it onto my arm to get a feel for the texture and I love it. It feels good and smells good and I have oily skin so it sounds like a godsend. Full size retails for $35. This was previously featured in Luckybox #2.
Dear by Enprani Bounce Cheese cream
“This Facial cream has a very unique bouncy texture to it, coming from high concentration of milk serum, ale known as Whey, which is a good source of natural protein and works to re-hydrate and firm up your skin.” I immediately rubbed this onto my forearm. It is so thick and luxe. I want to start using this right away. So far I love it, the smell… everything. The name is a little…errr… different though! :) This was previously featured in Luckybox #1 and the full size product that retails for $35.
Tonymoly Delight Tony Tint #2 Red
“One of the bestselling lip tint in Korea, this tint instantly gives vivid red color to your lips with just a single touch. It create the long-lasting, radiant lips, popular among Korean beauty lovers.” I have tried this out and WOW. It immediately stains your lips/skin. Be careful when applying this because once it is on it doesnt leave. That can be extremely good or kind of bad. This was featured in Luckybox #1 and the full size retails for $3.
Leaders Insolution Mask Sheet
“This mask hydrates and moisturizes your skin to the fullest. It’s a 100% coconut jelly mask, which gives your skin a cooled feeling. It also dramatically reduces any signs of wrinkles.” The mask I received was the Coconut Bio Mask with Tomato. That combination is completely different to me. I have never tried any beauty product with Tomato in it but I am game. I am a long time lover of sheet masks (going on about 4 years or more now) and I cant wait to give this one a go! It was previously featured in Luckybox #2 and retails for $3.
LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence
“Light-textured tea tree oil formulated with sensitive skin in mind. Made from 90%tea tree extract, LJH’s Tea Tree 90 Essence clears, moisturizes, and brightens troubled skin, targeting acne and delivering deep nutrition for a replenished complexion. Key ingredients include sea buckhorn and centella asiatica, plans known to delay the skin maturation process and speed up the healing of damaged tissues.” That is one long description. I love that this liquid is so potent. Because I have oily skin that needs some deeper hydration while still targeting my troubles I am intrigued with this. It MIGHT be the winner of the box for me. I haven’t tried it yet so I will keep you updated. It was featured in Luckybox #2 and #4 and a full size retails for $32.
Dr. Jart V7 Eye Serum
“Offering intense care to the sensitive eye contour area, this eye serum was made from a complex of 7 vitamins – A, B3, B5, C, E, H, and F. This capsulized, stabilized vitamin complex brightens the skin and rids of any dark circles.” I am a eye cream/serum junkie. I am loving that I am already familiar with the great quality of Dr. Jart products so I was excited to use it. I have used it for 2 days in a row now and it feels so luscious on my eyes. I think I have found my new HG eye product. It has been previously featured in Luckybox #2 and #3. It is a full size and retails for $38.
Overall, I paid $29.99 for this box and I feel like I got 10xs that amount of value. There were only a few full-sized products but the samples that were included were nothing to sneeze at. Even though this was my first box from Memebox.com I know deep down that there are going to be many more to come. I am a skincare junkie and this was enough to satisfy me for months. I am looking forward to a box that may include more makeup soon… Check them out for yourself.
