LORAC Cosmetics has always been a brand that I’ve enjoyed. My first product from them was a skintone eyeshadow shade that was PERFECT! It may actually have made history with me; I think it was the first and only eyeshadow that I used up COMPLETELY. The brand keeps impressing me as I try more and more things and these Alter Ego Lipsticks are no different.
“Instantly transform your look with LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick. These sexy and playful lipsticks coat your lips in highly-pigmented color with an opaque, matte finish. Embrace your every identity and dress up your lips with LORAC.” – LORAC Cosmetics
These highly-pigmented matte lipsticks are pretty exciting. There has always been the occasional matte shade come up in a line but not really an entire line with so many shades to choose from! Out of the 20 available shades I have 3 to show you! Nymph is a cool-tone pink, CEO is a dusty rose, and Socialite is a nude.
I have a neutral skin tone but for some reason blue-tone pinks are always terrible on me. Nymph is a beautiful color and one that would suit someone with more of a fair coloring. CEO is my favorite of the 3 I have. It is a brown/rose color and it really looks nice. It is one of those shades that isn’t easy to find these days. Socialite also doesn’t really look good on me, almost like it is too warm for me. I think that once I get my summer glow it will be perfect though. It reminds me of the Viva Glam Gaga 2 lipstick from MAC. It too wasn’t good on me when I was more pale but as I tanned it became my favorite!
Overall I think that the LORAC Alter Ego Lipsticks are great. They are matte, long lasting, lots of shades to choose from and FULL of great ingredients. Winners all the way around!
