I have heard about Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for YEARS and i have always been so intrigued. It hasn’t always been readily available in the US because it is a British brand, but it is now! In case you DO NOT know anything about this product it is a two-step cleansing process that is pretty magnificent.
It is a cream cleanser that has naturally active ingredients like rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil. Cocoa butter is to help soften, smooth and moisturize. Rosemary, chamomile, hops and eucalyptus tones, soothes and purifies. This combination of moisturizing and cleansing at the same time sort of baffles me. I am used to my skin feeling dry and squeaky after cleansing but this feels like I am cleansing with a moisturizer.
Ingredients: Aqua (water), Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Cetearyl alcohol, Cetyl esters, Sorbitan stearate, Polysorbate 60, Glycerin, Cera alba (beeswax), Propylene glycol, Humulus lupulus (hops) extract, Panthenol, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, Anthemis nobilis (chamomile) extract, Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) oil, Limonene, Citric acid, Sodium hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dehydroacetic acid, Polyaminopropyl biguanide.
It is so effective. When you are applying the cleanser to dry skin you can feel it breaking down all of the makeup or whatever it is that you are cleansing off. I like to rub it around my eyes especially because that is where I am using the most makeup. The second part of the process is taking the muslin cloth (2 come with the set) and soaking it into hot water and wringing it out. You then take it and buff the cream off your face. I do this twice to make sure I didn’t miss anything. It buffs off all the dead skin and leaves you with a radiant glow! And quite honestly it feels therapeutic. I follow it up with a toner and my favorite moisturizer. I have used this day and night but it is my preferred PM cleansing method.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish has been around for years and it has won 100 awards. I totally understand why. The packaging has changed a few times over the years but this bottle with a pump is amazing. I love the muslin that it comes with because it is trimmed in the same mint shade of the bottle. I am not completely infatuated with Liz Earle and want everything!
