I mentioned a few posts back that I am in love with these L’Oreal Silkissime Eyeliners. They are in the Infallible range and I can’t say enough great things about them. They glide on smooth, the pigmentation is better than the most expensive eyeliner that I have ever used, and once they are set they wont be moving. The two shades I have for you today are Plum and Highlighter.
Plum is a deep royal purple. When swatched heavily it almost looks like a blackened blue. If you were to smudge it out it gives a purple effect. I love to apply this on the top and lower lash line and smudge them out for a super sexy, sultry pop of color. It isn’t BAM IN YOUR FACE color, but it is there. It is interesting enough to have someone look twice!
Highlighter is a beautiful rose gold shade. This is what I have been substituting for a nude/white liner on my waterline. It adds a bit of glam. I have noticed that this brings out the honey golden shade in my eyes… also green highlights.
These liners don’t drag or skip — they provide one smooth, silky line. This means no tugging at the delicate, thin skin around the eye for a perfect application. They are soft and easy to blend and once set, they are supposed to stay put for 16 hours. I can attest to the fact that they stay on my waterline very well (which nothing really does).
I have the Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil and the intensity and fluidity of the line is EXACTLY the same except the GA pencil is very smudgy and never really sets. I have always had to top it off with a black eyeshadow to make it budge-proof. Until now it was my go-to waterline/tightline pencil. Yep… until now! :) And did I mention that the GA pencil is $27 and this one is $9 at Ulta. Woah, right?
The L’Oreal Silkissime Eyeliner is THE BEST liner I have ever used. Hands down. It hasn’t the richest pigmentation, it lasts forever, and a beautiful selection of shades. I am SOLD. If you haven’t tried these, drop everything right now and either order your favorite shade online or drive to your nearest store to pick it up!
