Who is excited that Revlon brought back the Skinlights? Me, me, me, me, me!!!! I am so excited. I used to have these a while back and have long been trying to dupe them. I think the closest I have come to duping these wonderful illuminators is the MAC Lustre Drops.
If you are curious what this does it is basically a liquid highlighter. You can add it onto the high points of the face like cheekbones, bridge of nose, cupids bow, etc. Anyplace you want to emphasize. I am a fan of mixing liquid illuminators like these into my foundation. I don’t use a lot when I do this, just enough to give life to my skin. When you mix it into a foundation there is an added bit of glam. Your face glows like a candle on a romantic dinner. Hard to explain but something that needs to be experienced by all!
The packaging on this new and improved Skinlights bottle is different. It used to be a pump and now it is a squeeze tube. The opening is small and you have a lot of control over what is coming out. It is nice and slender and easily store-able.
I have the shade 100 Bare Light. I feel like it is the most neutral of the 4 that were released. I think that these are far less shimmery than the original version. These give a beautiful sheen instead of being sort of sparklicious. My photo below isn’t doing it justice but it really is beautiful! I included a picture from my phone too because I feel like it captured the beauty of it a little better!
Revlon Photoready Skinlights are amazing. They thin consistency makes them easy to work with but it also allows it to settle into some fine lines, so be careful with placement. It may also help to prime for smoothness (if you don’t already) before applying these. These are essentially amazing, I think that the new version is an improvement over the original release. Highlighting can be tricky, but this makes it really easy and ultimately dummy-proof, although we all make mistakes! :)
