This week the Makeup Wars ladies are sharing their favorite travel beauty products. My school of thought is that I want a very versatile and trusty arsenal on the road. I want things that are fairly small and compact but aren’t compromising in quality. I include a mix of drugstore and high end because that is truly what my stash consists of. I don’t purchase beauty products just for the sake of purchasing a popular brand, I ACTUALLY look for high quality. Some of the higher end products are worth the price, and some are not!
{IT Cosmetics CC Cream} Everytime I use this I am completely impressed with the finish and the longevity of it. I can count on full coverage with a light feel. I have NEVER worn this and not liked the result. Reviewed here.
{IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores} I don’t need a powder for all over my face but my t-zone is quite oily and this mattifies perfectly. I don’t typically like to travel with loose product but there is a powder puff on the inside of the jar that prevents the sifter from leaking product. In a pinch you can actually use the powder puff for a applying to a specific area. Reviewed here.
{NARS Blush in Luster} My very, very favorite blush from NARS is Luster. It is a stunning apricot color that has a little illumination built right in, so eliminating the need for a separate highlighter. It can work with any look you throw together too! Perfection! Reviewed here.
{Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer} I want a matte bronzer for my everyday application because I do a tiny bit of contouring when I wear a full on face. Shimmery bronzers don’t allow for a contour to work accurately because the shimmer makes that specific area of your face project out rather than sink in or depress. Reviewed here.
{Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Platinum} This is my all-time favorite cream eyeshadow. It is a gorgeous pale blonde gold with a silvery sheen. It almost has a champagne look to it. I use it all alone for a beautiful simple eye look or as a base to layer other shades over. I have oily eyes so if I wear eyeshadow at all I need something that is going to prevent creasing and for me, this is it! Many mentionings on my blog before!
{Dior Rosy Tan} This quint from Dior may be my all time favorite. It has a gorgeous set of shades that can really create any look. It doesn’t necessarily include a matte shade but I can always use the bronzer that I already mentioned for that! Also, if I wanted to add a highlight to my cheeks, bridge of the nose, or cupid’s bow there are shades in this that would work just fine. I LOVE multi-taskers! Reviewed here.
{Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade} This is another fantastic multi-tasker. Not only does it make my brows look perfect, it can also be used as a cream eye liner. Space saver!!! I actually use this one product all the time for the two purposes because I am typically doing my makeup last minute. Reviewed here.
{Revlon Really Red} When I am traveling I love to have a bold lip option. I may not even wear it, but if I need it I have it. I love a matte red lip and this one is my favorite! It is SUPER pigmented and lasts all day! Used in a tutorial here.
{Essence In The Buff} One of my most favorite nude lip options is from Essence. It is called In The Buff and it is amazing. It creates the barely-there lip shade. It doesn’t look like concealer lips/zombie lips. It is a beautiful nude on me that has some life to it. It is also a very comfortably moisturizing formula.
{IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes!} The best mascara in the world is Hello Lashes! from IT Cosmetics. I have never seen my lanes look better than when wearing this. The wand is a plastic one that has a spiky ball at the end. I use the wand to do my first coat and the ball to go in and do detail work on my lashes, like getting to the tiny baby hairs on the inner corner of the eye. Reviewed here.
{IT Cosmetics Brush Set} A comprehensive brush set with it’s own traveling holders. I think that this set is amazing and it has all the brushes I could need for travel. The brushes are so luxe and soft and they do an amazing job when applying product. Reviewed here.
I didn’t realize until AFTER I put the products side by side but WOW IT Cosmetics wins the most trustworthy, never-fail beauty brand! Remember that I mentioned this are my fail-safe products which is part of the reason I want them with me when I travel? I am also a huge fan of multi-taskers. Check out what the other Makeup Wars ladies use and tell me in the comments below what your favorite travel beauty products are!
