Speaking of changes, look what I discovered. Kleenex Hand Towels. Not only do the colors and pattern (“Bathroom Beautiful”) fit into my kitchen decor perfectly, but there is FINALLY a paper towel that isn’t tear away for when you are washing your hands. It sort of drives me insane to grab a roll of paper towels with wet hands. The entire roll ends up getting wet and just eww… Love Kleenex for putting my inner turmoil at ease.
Do you see the photograph beside the Kleenex box? That is my husband and I when we had moved into our first apartment with each other like 10 years ago. See the lamp in the picture? We still have it! In fact we have the sofa behind us still too! Our overall style hasn’t changed much at all. See next photo…
My husband and I have a the exact same preferences in home decor. Very traditional and neutral. If he could paint the house all white he would, but thankfully he compromises and lets me add my beige and taupe without whining. Too much. Another perfectly neutral and husband-friendly Kleenex box.
I purchased a hand painted picture at a yard sale about 5 years ago and fell in love with it. I actually decorated my entire bathroom around it. It is a picture of a beach so my walls are a sand color and the accents are tan (like the shower curtain) and blue (like the rug you can’t see in this picture). I have been keeping these Cool Touch Kleenex tissues in there lately. The name of the pattern is actually “So Cool It Soothes” which is exactly what the product inside does. The soothing blue color of the box blends into my bathroom well.
The last room I am going to show you is my daughters. Her poor little baby self has had cold after cold this year. Her nose is either running or stopped up and she is just a little trooper. She HATES getting her nose cleaned (which I think is a common trait in all 9-10 month olds) so I picked up the Lotion option in hopes that maybe she would resist less if it was soft. The design on this pretty pink box is called “Start A Ripple Effect” which is funny because that is what I am trying to do. I want her to get used to her nose being wiped so she will quit fighting me.
I love that Kleenex has married together stylish design with everyday staples. Being able to enhance my pre-existing decor with something as ordinary as a box of Kleenex is a nice change!
