Wantable is THE makeup subscription box for me. Once I get the shipment confirmation I literally stalk my door for it’s arrival. The February 2014 Wantable Makeup Box has some pretty great products in it. Most of them are things that I would more than likely have bought on my own. In case you are unfamiliar with the service, Wantable is a monthly subscription service that delivers Makeup, Accessories, or Intimates boxes depending on what you choose. They give you surveys that they ACTUALLY stand by and you get a personally curated box every month!
I love that this box had a little bit of everything. If you look at the contents it actually can create a full face look! There is a nail polish, cream eyeshadow, lip gloss, BB cream, and foundation brush.
They include a slip that lists the products included as well as giving you deets on your Loves, Likes, AND Don’t Likes. You get a clear shot of exactly what you told them you wanted and right below is the list of what they sent.
The first things that I saw in the box (which is usually what my subconscious immediately loves) is the Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream in Barely There and the Be A Bombshell Eye Base in Undercover Lover. I am a neutral/nude lover so these will get a ton of use!
The Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream in Barely There ($22)is thick and creamy and actually feels like a liquid lipstick. The shade is a beautiful peachy tan nude. It is just the type of color that I have a dozen of, but will repurchase over and over again because I love them on my skin tone! I personally love a lip product that is beautiful but still takes the back burner because I tend to play up my eyes more.
Be a Bombshell Eye Base in Undercover Lover ($14) is a beautiful gold cream shade. It is super soft and creamy and applies so smoothly without dragging. It sets nicely without being sticky or traveling around. I wore it yesterday and it wore all day long and stayed put! Gotta love that in a cream shadow!
FINALLY! My very first NCLA Nail Polish. I struggled getting my camera to focus on my nail and show how pretty Dead End Gorgeous ($16) is but I did MIRACULOUSLY get it to focus on the bottle and just look at that. GAH! Love that this blue takes on a purple, radiant orchid duo chrome. See what I did there? HAHA I have Radiant Orchid on the brain so hard that I am turning this blue into a trend piece! :D
The least exciting thing in this box for me was the Michael Marcus brush. I LOVE getting brushes in boxes because I am particularly obsessed with hoarding them, but the one specific type of brush I am not interested in is a flat foundation brush. This one is called Prime Foundation Brush ($20). One thing I have found these useful for is applying skincare before makeup. Typically on myself I would just use my fingers but when I am working on a client I apply any skincare, primer, what have you with a brush like this.
There was one sample packet in this box and it was the Treat & Tint 731 Light Honey. I have not opened it or tried to use it in any fashion at this point so I can’t really comment on it.
