Tonight I finished up the last wipe in this package so I decided it is a fine time to review them! I was walking through my local Walmart the other day and I saw that they are now carrying e.l.f. products and they had this spinny-tree display and I don’t know why but I had a ball looking over all the products. I am always on the market for Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes ($3) so I decided to snatch them up.
e.l.f.’s description of these wipes are as follows: “Gently and easily cleans skin to remove all traces of makeup and dirt, even waterproof mascara. Great for on-the-go travel. Gentle cloths are soft and soothing for even the most sensitive skin. Infused with Aloe Vera Extract for deep hydration and moisture.”
I am always purchasing wipes for a few reasons, {1} because I am lazy and tend to take my makeup of with these instead of doing a full-on cleanse (like I should), {2} I use them to clean swatches off my arm when I am doing blog posts, and {3} for material to write about here.
First off, this pack holds 20 pre-moistened cloths. The packaging is quite sturdy and actually rivals the very best on the packaging. As far as packaging for cleansing cloths go I think that these look quite chic. The thick plastic lid closes for an almost air-tight lock. That is awesome compared to most wipes which only have a flimsy, thin foil/sticker-thingy holding it closed.
These cloths are smooth on the skin, non-irritating and are infused with aloe vera extract. They don’t dry out my skin, in fact I feel like my skin actually does feel more hydrated after using them. I mentioned that these are smooth, but in all actuality I sort of prefer a textured cloth because I feel like the bit of texture helps wipe off some of the makeup and grime. Also, the lack of oomph causes it to not be that great in removing mascara. I don’t ever really use makeup wipes to remove mascara because I am always so paranoid about pulling my lashes out so the idea frightens me.
Overall, I think that the e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths are pretty great! They have their faults but in comparison with other wipes I feel like these are completely on par. Get yourself some ASAP!
