February 2014’s Bulu Weight Loss Box is the best one I have received thus far! It was curated by Ali Vincent, winner of Season 5’s Biggest Loser, and it is FULL of snacks and supplements and coupon codes. This one is far better than the rest not just because they are things I actually am interested in trying, it is the best value so far too.
There are lots of inserts telling you all about the goodies included in this box. There is a coupon code for 40% off of a Bluetooth Smart Digital Body Analyzer from Vitagoods, an insert delivering a ton of information on 100% Natural Meta Powder, a BOGO offer for a 24/7 Weight Loss Kit, a “My Sample Journal” to log your results/reactions to each sample included. and a tri-fold write up on Ali Vincent.
If you don’t know who Ali Vincent, it is worth the time to learn her story. She lost 112 pounds on The Biggest Loser and became the show’s first female winner. She’s kept the weight off. She finished an Iron Man and in 2013 she took on a goal of running 13 half marathons AND she did it!
The inside of the write up shares with you information on Ali’s 13 half marathons in 2013. She adds tid-bits on things that happened during some of the runs as well as tips and a little info on some of the specific races. She totally sold me on Divas DC’s Wine Country half marathon in Leeburg, VA. You get to sip bubbly and wear a tiara once you finish! :)
Now on to what you really wanna see! The products included. I was excited to see the samples included. I am not a HUGE fan of pills which is what most of the past boxes included. Instead this box has bars and snacks and some drink mixes. Totally what I expected to see in this box.
The Good Bean Roasted Chickpeas with Sea Salt was in this box. It hs 4g protein, 4g finer, nut free, it is non-GMO and gluten free. The ingredients on this read: Chickpeas, safflower oil, coarse sea salt, vitamin e. WHAT? I can pronounce everything in it. They are also available in Cracked Pepper, Smoky Chili & Lime, and Sweet Cinnamon. I found them to be kinda tasty. Good crunch and they were the perfect mid-day snack.
SoyJoy Baked Whole Soy and Fruit Bar in Mango Coconut was a real treat in this box. I love SoyJoy bars and have featured them previously on my blog. It contains whole soy, real fruit, has low GI, gluten-free, and 0 trans fat. It is now more moist and fruitier. I love this bar. I gobbled it up with a quickness. Compared to most bars this one actually gives off the comfort that a cookie or brownie would all while being good-for-you.
Power Crunch Ultraburn in Vanilla Cafe. It is a protein powder that gives you lip burn and energy boosting effects. DTP Di and Tripeptide Technology, 18 grams of protein, 09 grams EAAs, 130 calories, and AEB- adaptogenic energy blend. Add this packet to 3/4 cup (6 oz) of cold water and share it up. Drink it any time of day with or without other foods.
FruitChia Bar in Blueberry Blast. I split this bar with my husband and my son. I love it… I immediately thought of a mixture of grape and strawberry jelly. It is a fruit bar that has a fruit roll up sort of flavor and gumminess to it. The chia seeds is what I think brought me to the thought of strawberries and the flavor is really grape like. It has no artificial flavors, no preservatives, no added sugars, it is Vegan, 2 full servings of fruit in one bar and it is made in the US. It is a Non-GMO product. This is another thing that the ingredients are simple: Apple Puree, Apple Concentrate, Blueberry Concentrate, and chia seeds. Wow, easy right?
Chosen Foods Meta Powder is a therapeutic bioactive inner blend of nopal cactus, agave inulin and hibiscus. It is essentially a fiber supplement. Sometimes I worry about my fiber intake and go all crazy on this getting more fiber in my diet. This product is USDA certified organic. The ingredients in this are: Nopal Cactus, Agave Inulin, and Hibiscus Flower. Loving it. You just add this to a bottle of water (after taking a couple sips so that it doesn’t overflow).
I couldn’t be more pleased with a box unless I curated it myself. Thank you Ali Vincent and Bulu Box for coming up with a great box! February really is a month of love and I LOVE this months variety. The subscription service costs $10 a month. You can subscribe month-to-month, quarterly, every 6 months, and once a year. If you choose the yearly subscription you can essentially get one of the months free. You can use my referral code “BULUGAN136” to get 50% off, so I encourage you to get the largest subscription you are comfortable with because you can only use the coupon once.
