I am an eye cream FREAK and I tell you every chance I get! I have been using the Amarte Eyeconic Eye Cream for about a month now, maybe more. I wanted to give it a good, long go before reviewing it though because I feel like most eye creams are the same. Amarte Eyeconic is the exception to the rule though. It is an advance, under eye cream and revitalizing active botanicals. I will go into more details in a sec but can we just say, “Oooooo, aaaaahhh” at the pretty packaging? What girl doesn’t love pink, white and gold?
Let me go into some detail about the problems I face in my eye area. I am 30-something and the skin under my eye doesn’t look plump and bouncy anymore… it is starting to look thin, dry, and I can see a lot of fine lines. These problems have been progressing rapidly over the last couple years. The other major problem that I have always had, but never really knew what to call it is Milia. There are lots of forms of Milia but I personally believe I suffer from Secondary Milia, which are tiny white bumps made mostly of keratin being trapped in sweat glands just under the skin, mine happen to be under my eyes. I have had them come and go my entire life and never really knew what caused them or how to get rid of them. All that being said, my ideal eye cream will address all of my issues.
Enter Amarte Eyeconic Eye Cream…
“Amarte Eyeconic Eye Cream restores youthful vitality to your eyes without causing irritation for more youthful and radiant appearance. Stabilized retinol accelerates cellular renewal while epidermal growth factors increase firmness and reduce wrinkle depth. Grapefruit and eucalyptus extracts tighten pores to minimize fine lines and inflammation. Glycerin and allantoin gently hydrate and argan oil protects your skin from environmental aggressors.” – Amarte Skincare
This anti-wrinkle rejuvenator delivers a high level of stabilized pure retinol, actually the highest on the current market at 3.8%. It is delivered in nano-capsules which is what allows for the high concentration and deep penetration of the eye cream without irritation. Retinols can be scary but when they are delivered in this fashion you shouldn’t experience the harsh side effects.
The ActivElement, elemental sulfer, calms and heals the skin irritation and decreases sebum production which helps create a brighter eye area as a whole. Don’t worry about any gross sulfur scents though, you wont get that with this. It also contains argan oil which deeply nourishes and conditions. Another great ingredient is ginkgo nut extract that protects and also conditions while also offering antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that aid collagen and elastin production.
What does all that mean as far as addressing my issues?
In a nutshell: It amps up collagen production to give my under eye area the plumpness/thickness I want back. It hydrates and conditions which hydrates my dehydrated looking under eye. The retinols address a multitude of my issues; it helps with anti-aging and helps rid me of the pesky milia!
The packaging is interesting too. You can use the applicator/nozzle to apply it to your under eyes which which cut out any pulling or tugging on that area or you can do it the old fashion way–just pump out the product and pat in with your fingers. The design is perfect for dispensing the perfect amount needed every time!
