Stocking stuffers are tricky little things. Sometimes I find myself scratching my head what to get people for their stockings. A fun stocking stuffer idea for the makeup addict in your life is sweet cosmetic treats with season ingredients! Things like cocoa, cinnamon, pumpkin, apple, and peppermint.
Instead of shoving a bunch of chocolate into a stocking Jane Iredale has a gorgeous lip gloss palette called Chocoholicks ($35). The shades are made with cocoa butter, cocoa beans, and cocoa powder contain antioxidants that can hydrate, rejuvenate, and protect. There are 4 shades: Blood Orange is a shimmering copper gloss pairing the flavors of deep, dark chocolate and zingy blood orange. Espresso is a sultry, rich brown gloss tasting of bold, smooth mocha. Very Berry is a sheer plum gloss and tastes of luscious berries dipped in chocolate. Chili Pepper is a wearable red gloss combining sweetness and spice with the flavors of dark chocolate infused with exotic chilies. And I want to warn you, Chili Pepper definitely has a bite!
I am a fan of putting useful stuff into stockings. I add toothpaste to my son’s stocking every year, so what about Supersmile Professional Whitening Toothpaste ($21) in Cinnamon. Not only is it Christmas-y, but studies show just a small concentration of Cinnamomum cassia effectively fights bacteria. Cinnamon has a bold rush of flavor that not only beats bad breath but also prevents tooth decay and gingivitis. Supersmile also has a peppermint product called Quickee ($18) and it is an on-the-go whitener that also freshens breath!
This Pumpkin Latte Hydration Masque ($53.50) from Eminence is probably my favorite product in this list… probably because I go gaga over pumpkin flavors every year and I LOVE face masques. This masque is rich in zinc, which supports collagen synthesis and may also help prevent acne. Packed with Vitamins A and C, it is an excellent nourishing ingredient that helps to protect and renew cells when applied topically. This organic pumpkin hydration masque will help replenish dry, dehydrated skin. And you will smell like dessert afterwards! :D
Another great season ingredient skincare product (that I don’t have pictured here) is from Juice Beauty and it is their Beauty Green Apple Eye Cream ($43.50). Apples are innately packed with a variety of essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, minerals and fibers. They are an excellent beauty enhancer, especially great for anti-aging products as antioxidants help to keep your skin elastic and nourished. Enhance your youthful appearance with an apple eye treatment!
