This edition of Makeup Wars, we are all talking about “Indie Products“. I am going to mention some of my favorite products from the different Indie Companies I have used. For those of you that are confused as to what an indie product is, it is a product that is from a company that isn’t affiliated with a major brand or sold by a major retailer. I personally enjoy the products that come from Indie Companies a bit more because I feel a stronger sense of creativity and passion. These are the specific products for which I LOVE the quality as well. Some of these products I purchased myself, some of these were sent for me to try.
The first company that comes to mind when I think about Indie Products is Fyrinnae Cosmetics. I personally an head over heels for their Pixie Epoxy and eyeshadows, particularly the taupe eyeshadows. Pixie Epoxy is essentially glitter glue. It magnifies the pigmentation and sparkles of any eyeshadow from any brand. The order of the eyeshadows above are Top Row L to R: Koala, Beholder, Damn Paladins, Snow Leopard. Bottom Row L to R: Sloth Snuggles, Samhain Spirits, Te Amo, Rapunzel Had Extensions. The eyeshadows are swatches over none other than Pixie Epoxy.
The post previous to this post was all about MIYU Beauty and their Beauty Essence and Tea Pairings. The De-Stress Mi Beauty Essence is amazing. It calms me down and makes my skin feel great. Their essences are spritzed on like a refreshing mist but have the quality of a serum, and you ALL know how I feel about serums!
Savannah Bee has amazing Honey Body Washes and Beeswax Lip Glosses. The Body Washes look like pure honey pouring out but they have an explosion of fragrance and do a great job at not only cleansing but exfoliating as well. The Beeswax Lip Glosses are simply amazing. They are moisturizing as well as opaque. When I say opaque I mean opaque like a lipstick.
Last but not least is the Senna Cosmetics powder blush in Moonberry. It is a beautiful berry wine color. It is so pigmented that a little dab will do ya! You can see from the swatch above that it can be really full on but if applied and blended lightly it can sheer out and be a beautiful winter glow. Marcia from Beauty Info Zone did a great review on the collection it came out with, found here!
