Laura Mercier Holiday 2013 has landed and I was so excited to get my hands on the mini liner set called Line & Define Mini Longwear Creme Eye Pencil Collection. It contains 5 liners that are about half the size of a full-size version for $45. One full-size version is $24 so you can see the savings!
“An ultra-smooth long-wearing pencil to line and define with ease. This creamy liner glides on smoothly with foolproof precision to create customizable eye definition. The water-proof formula ensures vibrant colour payoff that lasts all day.” – Laura Mercier
This collection contains very basic, everyday shades. Basic shades are the best to get in sets like this, they will have you covered for every eye look you could possibly want. L to R in the picture above is Espresso, Noir, Violet, Sage, and Cobalt. These are, in my humble opinion, the 5 eyeliner shades that will suit everyone and that everyone needs in their collection.
These liners apply to your lash line (even waterline or tight line) so effortlessly. It is as if the liners were warmed up, like butter. Remember in the 80’s and early 90’s when us ladies would hold a lighter to our liners to get it warmed up? I KNOW I wasn’t the only one that did it! Thank goodness that are new eyeliner formulas don’t require those sorts of extremes.
The longevity of these are pretty amazing. I love the Longwear Creme Liners in the pot and these are essentially a pencil version. They last just as long as the pot liners and I find them more easily to maneuver in a rush. They last around 4-5 hours on my waterline without the need to touch up and all day long on my upper and lower lash line. I haven’t had any problems with them smudging on my lash line, but the waterline can be a tricky thing for many people.
The pigmentation on the Laura Mercier Line & Define Mini Longwear Creme Eye Pencil Collection is crazy. Perfect color payoff, smooth application, long wearing (as the name suggests), amazing colors; what more could you want from a eyeliner set? It also comes with a great sharpener.
What are you looking for in the upcoming Holiday 2013 collections? Gifts? Gifts for yourself?
