City Color Cosmetics Pearl Blush is a welcomed addition to my blush/highlighter collection. It is composed of a bunch of tiny pearl-like balls of pigment. The only other product in my collection like this is Guerlain Meteorites. They look similar but are quite different products. Each holding their own and being great for different reasons. The shade I have to show you today is Light Pink.
“Our Pearl Blush is blended with luminous pigmented pearls to brighten your cheeks with a flawless luster.” -City Color Cosmetics
The packaging for this blush has two compartments. There is a top compartment that holds a brush and the bottom compartment houses a mirror and the actual product. The brush is a typical in-product-drugstore type of brush. Usable, but not my preferred choice. It is nice to have these brushes when traveling or to keep in your purse and save on space.
The product itself is a hybrid between a blush and highlighter.
I mentioned Guerlain Meteorites earlier and those to me are almost colorless. They give a dewy finish when used as an all-over powder or a nice light highlight.
City Color Cosmetics Pearl Blush in Light Pink has a definite color to it, but I wouldn’t wear it as a stand-alone blush. I would actually use it on top of a blush to add beautiful dimension or as a highlight. I think that if I had a different color from the line I may use it as a blush, but this shade is just too light for that (in my opinion).
City Color Cosmetics Pearl Blush retails for $2.99 on their website. It comes in 6 different shades: Bronze, Pink, Coral, Fuchsia, Salmon and Light Pink. There is definitely a shade for everyone.
