I just got my March 2013 Julep Maven box in the mail recently… OK! So I got it before the end of February… I am running a bit behind… Sorry! My birthday happened and then pregnancy uncomfortability kicked in to overdrive and BAM… almost two weeks passed… Ahh… anyway! I loved this box… I am excited to share with you what was included. I got the Boho Glam box and I am thrilled to show you the goods!
The lip balm that was included is seriously great. It is flavored Strawberry Mint. It smells divine and feels amazing on the lips. The packaging is sleep and slim and I love everything about it!
The Rock Star Hand Creme is absolutely fabulous. It smells so familiar… like I have had something equally amazing that was scented like this hand creme. Not only does it smell great but it deep moisturizes. it gives my hands that beautiful hydrated shiny look. It is absolutely fabulous.
The hand creme is kind of on the thicker side but it does sink right in immediately. It leaves long lasting moisture and I will likely be buying a gazillion more after this.
The two nail polishes included in this box were Joy and Leila. Joy is a “smokey mauve shade” and Leila is a “lemon yellow opalescent shimmer”.
I immediately used them in a mani and was very pleased when it lasted over a week with very minimal wear. I have always wanted a nice yellow shade that wasn’t streaky and Joy is such a staple shade. I think it would look perfect on anyone.
In case you weren’t sure, Julep Maven is a subscription that runs $19.99 and you get a personalized box of goodies sent to your door every month. Your first month is free with the code “FREEBOX“! I personally feel like the box is well worth the cost. These polishes are individually sold for $14 a pop and even though I wouldn’t pay for that I love the subscription service because it is always worth twice as much the cost. I hope you check it out and discover which Maven Profile fits you best! :D
