Over the last few weeks I have been adding the products from the Own Bio-Activating Skin Care line into my routine. So far I have been pretty well impressed. Own Skin Care is an all-natural skincare line. The company focuses on delivering products that create beautiful skin without all of the the harsh chemicals.
The side of all of the boxes have a picture of the product inside. I like details to packaging like this. If you like to keep your products in their original box–I know people like that— then you won’t have a hard time fidgeting through your products.
This post is going to be a collective review/opinion post on each individual product.
Description from the brand:
“Whether bright and early or before bed, Own Anti-Aging Rejuvenating Cleanser features a light and creamy non-foaming formula that revitalizes your skin for a fresher looking you. Developed with glycolic acid and vitamin E, this Rejuvenating Cleanser gently exfoliates and preps skin for maximum results when combined with Own’s Anti-Aging line products.”
My thoughts:
This is a cream cleanser, the scent is very typical of the all-natural cleansers. Not unpleasant but more earthy than mainstream cleansers. It does a good job at cleansing and I think it leaves my skin feeling nourished and soothed. Sometimes cleansers can strip and dry out your skin but this one did the exact opposite. My skin feels more supple after use.

Description from the brand:
“Own Anti-Aging Lifting Eye Cream. Is formulated to lift and smooth wrinkles while brightening skin with clinically proven CLA technology. CLA technology lifts and firms, restores and hydrates so your eyes can look as good as you feel.”
My thoughts:
This eye cream was very nice. It is a cream but it is on the thinner side. It applied nice and smooth and felt very hydrating to the skin. It didn’t sink completely in immediately but after about 5 minutes it completely sunk in and felt very comfortable. Lately my eyes are very sensitive to products–I can only chock that up to the pregnancy–but this had no negative reaction whatsoever. It is completely fragrance free and maybe that is why I didn’t react to it. I give it two thumbs up.

My thoughts:
One thing I would like to mention is that we ALL should wear some sort of SPF everyday. It is something that I do tend to skip (if I am not using a BB cream) and there is no excuse for it. I am on the brink of turning 30 I am seeing myself age before my eyes. I don’t care if you are 15 years old, there is no better time to start preventing signs of aging then NOW. /end rant! ha!
All that being said, I really enjoy this day lotion. It is a white cream but it blends and sinks into the skin in seconds. The active ingredients in it are Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Like it boasts above–it protects from the inside out. The ways it protects your skin from the inside is using extracts to strengthen your skin’s natural moisture barrier and the outside it uses physical sunscreen ingredients as apposed to chemical.

Description from the brand:
“Visibly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles for more vibrant skin. The naturally derived and patented CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) formula in Own Anti-Aging Firming Silk Concentrate works with your body to treat all three layers of skin through a power-packed serum that’s proven to absorb easily without leaving a residue. Own Firming Silk Concentrate works with your own body’s chemistry to reactivate healthy processes and rebuild the skin’s structures for brighter, taut, and genuinely younger-looking skin.”
My thoughts:
It is no secret that I adore serums and this one is very interesting. It looks and feels like oil but when applied (directly after cleansing and before moisturizer) it doesn’t leave that oily residue behind. It sinks in QUICKLY and leaves a luminosity to the skin that is gorgeous on it’s own. I have been enjoying this product and I don’t have anything negative to say. I cannot say that I have seen GREAT results yet because I have only been using it for a short time. I will update you later.

Description from the brand:
“Hydrate and illuminate your skin nightly with a luxurious formula designed to fight all three causes of aging while you rest. Own Anti-Aging Refining Night Cream features clinically proven CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) technology, a plant-based ingredient designed to enhance collagen levels, improve moisture retention, and boost metabolism for softer, smoother, and genuinely younger-looking skin. 94% of women who tried Own Anti-Aging Refining Night Cream reported that it absorbs easily and penetrates the skin quickly.”
My thoughts:
This is a nice rich thick cream. It is very moisturizing, and again the word soothing comes to mind. The only thing I don’t particularly like here is that while it claims fragrance free (which obviously means they didn’t add fragrance) it has a semi-strong earthy scent that I don’t particularly enjoy. I am pregnant so scents are sort of an issue for me right now. Before I found out I was pregnant it bothered be a great deal less but now it is a definite turn off.

Overall the Own Bio-Activating Skin Care line is great. I enjoyed just about everything I tried and can’t argue with the affordable pricing. You can find their products at www.ownproducts.com.
Another REALLY cool thing about this line is that they have a smartphone app that allows you to track your progress with your skin (which I fully intend to update you with). You take a shot of your face completely clean of makeup and it tells you what products from the line would benefit you most. You can then purchase the products and take update pictures and track your progress! This appeals to the beauty/skincare side of me as well as the gadget-nerd! :) Best of both worlds! Great job OWN! :)
