TGIT!!! Thank Goodness It’s Tuesday!
It has been raining a lot here lately and I like to do my swatching outside, so that has been nearly impossible. I was forced to do all of my pictures inside. But TA-DA!!! Today’s Taupe-tastic Tuesday is featuring my favorite taupes from Fyrinnae.
You may be asking yourself, “Why does Laura have all of these taupes? They are all the same shade!” My answer to that is… I have a LOT of taupes, but none are the same. Each taupe I own is unique. It may be similar to another one here or there but I keep only the ones I love; I trade/give/sell away the ones that are “dupes” and keep the one with the superior texture.
Most people think of bright, crazy-fun colors when they think of Fyrinnae but they have an even better range of taupes. These are in no particular order, I love them all fairly equally. I chose to show Koala, Beholder, Damn Paladins, and Snow Leopard (in order from L to R in all pictures). I am not a huge fan of loose eyeshadows because they can be cumbersome and messy to use, but I can always make room for another taupe in my collection.
Koala is a medium rosy taupe.
Beholder is a silvery brown taupe with some mauve/pink undertones and silver sparkles.
Damn Paladins is a satiny taupe with a light blue highlight.
Snow Leopard is a deep warm taupe with a subtle hint of rose.
The swipes are all on bare skin with no primer or anything and the circles beneath the swipes are the same shadow applied over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. Click here if you want to see my review on that. They are in the same order from L to R as the little pots above. The first picture is taken in low indoor lighting.
The picture below is taken indoors with flash.
The next picture is what I wore today. Because I had so much fun swatching these last night I went ahead and used Koala over Pixie Epoxy for my eye look. I also used the Chanel Mystic Eyes quad in conjunction with it. Sorry for the poor lighting. It was really hazy and grey outside and the glares wouldn’t go away. :)
Everything I have ever tried from Fyrinnae has been terrific. I absolutely adore their neutral shades, and that is saying a lot coming from someone who doesn’t like loose eyeshadows.
What do you own from Fyrinnae? If you don’t own anything: what do you want to try most? Let me know in the comments below!
