Sunscreen is a very important product to use all year long, but especially during the summer months. Most sunscreens are thick and smell not-so-great. They don’t usually rub into the skin very easily and can leave you feeling sticky. Hawaiian Tropic has remedied those problems with their Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen.
I typically use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 when I am outdoors. It blocks out the harmful rays while still allowing you to get some color on your skin. Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen actually comes in 3 different strengths: 12, 30, and 50. It protects from UVA and UVB rays. What I like about this sunscreen is that it is actually a very nice soothing lotion that is doing the double duty of a sunscreen, and it claims to keep your skin hydrated for up to 12 hours while outside in the sun. It is also a bonus that it smells terrific. When I was applying this to my son he didn’t make a face or fight me at all, which he usually does when I am applying sunscreen. HAHA Tricked him! :)
You can find Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen at most major retailers and a 6 oz bottle is suggested to retail for $8.99.
Do I recommend this product? YES! It is a great breakthrough for sunscreens in general. It has actually encouraged sunscreen usage for myself and my family so far this summer and I even apply this as everyday lotion. Definitely pick it up! What have you been using for sunscreen this summer? Let me know in the comments below!
