If there is one thing that I love with all my heart is a GREAT neutral palette. Recently I witnessed a thread on a beauty forum about what was required to call a group of eyeshadows a palette. I declare this Soap and Glory quad in What’s Nude a palette due to the fact you can do an entire look and not need to have any other eyeshadow added. There is a light, medium and dark matte shadow and a shimmery taupe. *sigh* and *swoon*
As you can see, it didn’t strike me to review this until after I had given it a lot of love already. This quad instantly became a staple in my makeup routine. Such a versatile group of shades. It is perfect on it’s own but if you wanted to use it based around another shade it seems to work perfectly as well.
The creators over at Soap and Glory are geniuses in my opinion. The look of their palette is seriously recognizable. **AHEM** MAC **AHEM** Whether they intended on having such similar looking packaging to a leading brand or not, it was certainly a smart move. The eyeshadows are also quite large at 1.5 grams each, and you can get this entire quad at or around the same price as one MAC eyeshadow.

One thing that could be more important than the shades themselves is the texture. These eyeshadows are like butter. Soft and blendable. Think Urban Decay had a baby with Chanel. They are smooth but they aren’t quite as loose as the Urban Decay eyeshadows. Their formula reminds me a lot of Chanel single eyeshadows but maybe a bit better.

These swatches were one swipe on the eyeshadow. What fantastic quality, right? I am dumbfounded. The sad part is that these aren’t available in the U.S. currently–hopefully soon. The Soap and Glory quads are getting a lot of attention so hopefully the decide to extend the line and jump the pond.

I can’t say thank you enough to the GORGEOUS Mira for sending me this quad. She has great taste and she knew I would love this as well. It honestly is like a mini Naked palette. Everything you need for day to day in just 4 colors.

So! Have you tried this quad? Do you have another go to quad that can be considered a palette? Please let me know in the comments below.

Laura
