Mascara has to be one of my favorite products. It is the ONLY thing that I NEVER skip when applying my makeup. In my opinion, it is the key factor to tying a look together. It could just be that my lashes are decently long naturally but very thin; they almost look blonde and non-existent even though I’m a natural brunette.
I bought this Essence mascara a few days ago because a majority of the brand’s display at my Ulta was marked 50% off of it’s already low price point. I wanted to get this review up quickly while this is still marked $1.99! WHAT A BARGAIN LADIES!
You already know my love for this brand if you’ve been reading my blog for a while. Essence baffles me! Every new product I try from them is of the highest quality. Who needs to spend department store prices when you can spend the change in your wallet? Not me!
On to the specifics of the mascara in question…
(a) The color is very dark black.
(b) The wand is cutting edge “technology” with its tip being a different fuller shape at the tip and the remainder being flat.
(c) The formula is perfect: not to wet not to dry.
(d) I applied 2 layers and it never got clumpy!!
