It has arrived! :D The New Beauty Test Tube for QVC has the best items in them. This is the January 2012 one. A lot of these items are favorites or things that I have been already meaning to try. This is how the stuff came this time. They have changed the tubes from being the see through plastic to a cardboard cylinder. The information guide doesn’t come inside the tube anymore, but it is laying on top of the magazine. You may have already seen my pictures of the magazine in my Sneak Peek post so I wont bore you with pictures of the cover.
If you don’t want to read or look at these pictures that I took you can always just watch the video I made on it. Also, tell me your opinion on the quality of the video when I am filming with my phone. I just got the iMovie app on my cell phone in an attempt to be able to actively post YouTube videos. I can even do “on the go” videos. If you would like to see anything like that let me know as well.
Here are the items that come inside this Test Tube.
The first thing that I pulled out was the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate. The lid of the product had this cute little guy winking up at me.
Cute right? I am truly interested in trying this, but nervous at the same time. I have used physical exfoliators in the past with bad luck but I have heard a fairly good number of good reviews on this so I will give it a shot.
I got a full size bottle of the amazing Mally Volumizing Mascara.
I love trying new hair care and this is Traditions by Nick Chavez Yucca Root Shampooing Cream.
Calista Tools included their Achieve 10, which seems to be riding on the whole It’s a 10 theme.
The Tarte EmphasEYES aqua gel eyeliner I got was in the color Plum. I was seriously excited about this one until I tried it on my waterline. The main I have gel eyeliner is because it is one of the only items that last on my waterline. I applied this and it balled up and stung my eyes and I had to pour water drops in them for half an hour to get all the rolled up eyeliner out of my eye. Kinda ruined my entire makeup look today… UGH… Hate starting off the day with eye problems. Aside from my rant, I did apply a swatch on the back of my hand and it was budge proof after just a minute of being there. This leads me to believe that it will be a perfect long wearing eyeliner for the liner on above your lashes.
This is the item I was most excited to try. I have been wanting this for months and was very close to purchasing it right before I found out the contents of this Test Tube. I am SURE I will be doing a full on review of this because when I had questions about it I looked up reviews and I wasn’t happy at the small amount of stuff I found on it.
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster is another one I was excited to receive. I have never used any products from the line but I have been wanting a Vitamin C serum for a while now. That was actually another purchase I was just before making.
Last but not least the Field of Flowers duo from Philosophy was included. It smells really nice to me, but it is heavily floral so if you do not like that sort of a thing you wont care for this.
All in all the New Beauty Test Tubes cost around $30 and $10 is the cost of the magazine it comes with. So essentially you are paying $20 and getting so many things to try. A few of the products you receive in this one is around $20 in retail value individually. You can’t beat the deal. Try this if you haven’t. I am not a fan of the past Test Tubes that aren’t the QVC edition, but I know that I enjoy the brands that QVC sells so I can say that I believe I will usually be happy with the Test Tubes related to their products. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my pictures. If you have any questions on anything in this post just put them in the comments below.
