I love wearing my hair curly but I am so conscious about the damage that it does to my hair. That being said, I don’t intend to ditch my heat curling methods altogether! I just like the idea of an alternative! I have been on the never ending hunt for good curlers that don’t require heat and I think I have finally found it due to a lovely blogger, Delicate Hummingbird. I have a thick head of fine hair and it is really lifeless most of the time. Even when I curl my hair with heat it doesn’t hold for very long. These curlers curl with no heat and that makes sense because every hair stylist that I have ever had tells me that I need to set any curl that I have with a blast of cold air from my hair dryer. Or if I have rollers in my hair they tell me to leave them in until the curler is completely cooled off because the cold air really sets in the curl. Anyway…. You get my point, cold curling holds better! :)
If you are interested in these, search eBay for “leverag” and these should post up all over the place. I paid around $3-4 for the entire set. At such a cheap price, it is totally worth trying, right?
This is how they arrived in my mailbox, also inside of a bubble mailer.
It came with 18 curlers of varying colors and size and a wand that allows you to thread your hair into the flat mesh tube. The wand reminds me of a crochet hook! :) (Something you may not have known before: I love to crochet!) After you have threaded your hair into all of the mesh tubes you will look like the picture below!
And to be kind to your eyes, I went ahead and pixelated my face so you don’t have to see bare faced me! LOL
This is also not a flattering picture of my face (or double chin) but WOW!!! Look at those curls!! I am in LOVE!
These pictures you may recognize from my Henry Clive FOTD because this is in fact what I used to curl my hair that day.
Hope you find this post helpful! Give them a shot!
