Sundays are my favorite day of the week. Everything just seems to be in harmony on Sundays. Today in particular is a gorgeous day (upper 60s to low 70s). I have every window in the house open and the breeze is blowing through them. The sun is out in all of it’s glory and our light beige walls are glowing and lifting my spirits. The birds are singing outside and of course my dog is chasing them and barking (this isn’t very peaceful but I know he loves doing it so that brings me joy as well).
Anyway, the thing I like in general about Sundays is the peaceful quiet. I am feeling awful today (mostly because my monthly visitor is upon me and I am cramping so bad I want to tear up!) so I took some pain medicine and took a nap on the couch. When I woke up my house was empty. I walked into the kitchen and on the fridge is a note from my husband.
SWEET! There is a park behind our house and a massive lake. My husband and son stand on the deck and fish a lot. I can usually count on a few hours of silence when they go there. Here is a picture of the deck on the lake. I took it with my Instagram app!
While they were gone I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich on the George Foreman grill. :) And had some milk and Oreos. (Remember that I am PMSing! Lots of comfort foods are needed.)
Anyway…. I got a little bit off track… WHAT I LIKE ABOUT SUNDAYS! Usually on Sunday I give myself a mani/pedi. I always do a sheet mask or a mud mask (or both!) and just try to relax as much as possible.
One of the biggest things I like about Sundays is the food. We usually make a full on meal and sit as a family for a little while… Sometimes board games follow (T is a nut for board games)!
And after T is off to bed some great TV shows come on! One that I am absolutely excited about is Pan Am. The makeup is awesome, the girls are beautiful, the story line is completely interesting and not at all what I expected from the previews. I hope that it continues to get even better! The pilot episode is all I have seen so far but it was delicious!
My returning favorite is Boardwalk Empire! Nucky and the gang keep me interested. It is amazing that the entire show is based off of true events. This season looks interesting and I am going to be totally addicted like I was last season! The story seems to have gotten slightly more complex and that excites me!
So! I hope I kept your attention throughout this post! These are some of my necessities on Sunday! Let me know some of yours in the comments below! I am nosey and enjoy hearing your responses. It may give me things to add to my list of things to enjoy. Thank you and have a great day!
