Julep Maven Bombshell: February 2013

I have been getting Julep Maven boxes over the last 6+ months or more.  Sometimes I skip the month and sometimes switch my “style”.  This month I got the Bombshell Maven Box and I am very excited about it.

The reason I chose this box is only because one of the polishes dons my name.  Laura is a nice muted green and Ginger is a gorgeous nude holographic nail polish.

I love that it comes all packaged up just like a gift.  There is usually a piece of candy or two (there were two this time and I ate one before I ever got my camera ready)!  And the attention to detail just makes me smile.

Along with the nail polishes for the box, they included the Oxygen Nail Treatment and the Freedom Polymer Top Coat.  I used the Oxygen Nail Treatment the other day and I liked it.  I am always looking for some sort of treatment whether it be for my face or my nails or what, so this is right up my alley.  Also, I just used the Freedom Polymer Top Coat this evening and it claims to give a gel manicure look. I am very impressed with top coat.  It is nice and thick and sets up very fast.  It is definitely a rival for my current favorite top coat!

With all the generosity in this box, they managed to top themselves and throw in a cute eyelash curler.  I actually used to own a similar eyelash curler that had a permanent home in my travel makeup bag.  It is nice to have in your handbag to give your lashes a boost mid-day.  I love that it is nice and compact!

I think that out of all of my Julep Maven boxes, this is the one that I am most happy with.  I love holographic polishes and HELLO!!!  There is finally a polish with my name!  :)  The other items included are all top quality.  Definitely a winning box for me!!!
If you haven’t tried Julep before I believe you can get your first box for free right now by using the code “FREEBOX“!  What are you waiting for, you already know which box I enjoyed the most!

Julep Maven January 2013

I received my Julep Maven January 2013 box a few days ago!  I am loving the items in this box and I can’t wait to share photos of the products I received.

The theme of this month’s box was Nude and Neons.  That is a combo that I have really been enjoying and am seeing soooo much of it in upcoming fashion as well.  (Recently I have been shopping for my soon-to-be baby girl and most things are pale and bright in the same print.)

As you see, I chose the Classic With A Twist box this month.  The box included some adorable neon elastic hair bands and everything was wrapped in bright neon colors.  The filler was paled out to keep up with the theme.  Also included in the box were swatch-me stickers.

The main items in this box are the polishes called Madison and Grace and the Hand and Cuticle Stick.  The polishes are gorgeous.  Madison is described as an “electric neon hot pink creme”  Grace is described as a “classic go-to light pink sheer.”  The Hand and Cuticle Stick is great for on the go moisturization because it contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, vitamins E and C, as well as anti-aging peptides.  I find myself at work playing with it.  To be honest, it reminds me of my childhood years playing with glue sticks.  Overall I am thrilled with the box.
In addition to the regular box, I chose some add ons…

The add-ons I chose were the Sand and Seashells trio, which includes: Emmanuelle, Emma, and Hayden.  I also chose to add on 3 sheets of Swatch Me stickers because I didn’t know there would be one in the actual box itself.

I feel like the Julep Maven January 2013 box best suits my taste more than any other boxes in the past.  Loving this one!! Did you get a January 2013 box?  Are you a Julep Maven?  If not try your first box for a penny using the code “PENNY“!

Influenster Holiday 2012 Vox Box

I recently received the latest Vox Box from Influenster and it is the Holiday 2012 box.  I wanted to share with you all the goodies inside!

As you can see it had lots of goodies and I can’t wait to jump right in to tell you.

First of all there is a brush from Goody called QuikSTYLE.  I was JUST looking at this at the store the other day and was so close to purchasing it.  I like to let my hair air dry and I am always looking for something that claims to cut down drying time.  This looks like just the tool.

The next think included is the Kiss Nail Dress.  It is in a very pretty pattern and I can’t wait to try them. I will more than likely put these on my toes because I like my fingernails to be a little less busy.

A NYC Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City was also included in this box.  I already received this exact item from Influenster previously so I am pretty surprised to see it again.  Because I already own this I am doing a giveaway on my YouTube channel so mozy on over there to enter.

Influenster typcally includes some sort of food product and this one is the Quaker Oats Real Medleys Summer Berry Oatmeal.  I must say that I am pretty excited about it!  I am pregnant (as I have stated over and over) and now need something to keep me full for longer while also delivering a perfect dose of nutrition.  I also like breakfast items that are portable.  This is an all-in-one punch for my needs.  I will be sure to review this one!

Another thing that I am in desperate need of since becoming pregnant is energy. Eboost is an all natural energy supplement and I am looking forward to trying this.  I am going to do a bit more research before I consume this though because it seems too good to be true and I don’t want to endanger my sweet baby girl if I can avoid it.

Another item included in this box was a coupon code for Sole Society.  The code Influenster25 will give you $25 off of your first order, so check that out!!!
Here is a video that I made of my unboxing.  Hope you enjoy it.  Remember to enter the giveaway being hosted there!

*This box was received because I am a member of Influenster.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Holiday 2012

You all know that I am a HUGE fan/supporter of Anastasia Beverly Hills.  She gave me good brows after years of over plucking (through her Beauty Express palette), and I can’t thank her enough for that… But I am very excited to share with you her Holiday 2012 Collection.

I am loving the things Anastasia is putting out this holiday season.  I wanted to include them all here, but that was just farrrrr too many pictures to be in one post so I broke it up into three parts. The first part is showing you this awesome, fun, retro, faux vinyl album which is just press goodies for the collection.  The collection is actually inspired by the 1970′s and celebrates the glam and decadence of the era.
The photoshoot that was done for this campaign is just breath-taking.  The model is stunning, the looks that makeup artist Anthony Merante created are amazing, and the outfits that stylist China Moss put together are so sexy!  And I love that makeup is scattered all across the rooms in the picture.  It sort of resembles my own house.  (Shhh…)

Seeing some of the photography created for the eye and lip kits really inspire me to have a good play with them!  :)

These photographs really sum up the look and feel of the palette for me.  I think everyone involved did a wonderful job and I am thrilled to be bringing you swatches and looks with this palette.

Now to have a look at the actual faux vinyl album inside of the cover.  It has two sides.  One is “Want You To Want Me“, which is the name of the eye kit.

And you flip it over and you have Side 2, which is the lip kit called “Kisses On My List“.

And now for a wonderful video that shows behind the scene footage of this photo shoot.  :)
Sorry to leave you hanging with this teaser but I am actually going to be posting the reviews and swatches of the two kits tomorrow in separate posts.  Taupe-tastic Tuesday will be postponed due to this sensational collection.  Which kit are you most excited to see?  Let me know in the comments below!
