Exfoliare Exfoliating Gel

I am a huge fan of exfoliating.  I exfoliate my body and my face but sometimes I feel like ones with scrubby bits are too abrasive.  I wouldn’t classify my skin as sensitive, but I don’t like the idea of rubbing my face raw.  I recently came across the Exfoliare Exfoliating Gel and it is PERFECT for my needs.

“Exfoliaré Face is an at-home spa experience for the woman who is always “on the go”! It’s a quick and easy alternative to chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Plus, it’s gentle even on the most sensitive skin! Exfoliaré Face reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles, removes dull and rough patches, allows you to apply makeup to a smoother surface and reduces signs of aging.” – Exfoliare Skincare

This 100ml bottle has a nice push down pump.  It delivers a clear gel.  I was skeptical at first about this gel doing anything as far as exfoliating goes, but I immediately put it to the test.  I first tried it on one hand, then on the other.  I was so impressed I decided to do my elbows… I know that this is a face product, but I wanted to test out on less delicate skin before applying to my face.  After waiting a couple days to make sure there weren’t any adverse reactions to this product, I attempted applying it to my face.
WOW!  My hands and elbows felt amazing but my face felt like a baby’s booty!  I am serious.  I have never had a better exfoliation EVER.  I have used just about everything there is out there and nothing has delivered the results I get from this gel.
I have done my elbows a few times now and they are so smooth.  I have never had hydrated elbows and I actually apply lotions to them all the time and exfoliate with scrubby body exfoliators.  Nothing has ever works.  My elbows are now just as smooth as the rest of my arm.  I cannot sing enough praises for Exfoliare!

The picture above is (1) my hand with nothing on it, (2) one pump of Exfoliare and (3) the product after being rubbed in.  The way this works is you rub the product on dry skin and it starts pilling up into these little white balls.  The balls are actually the product mixed with the dead skin it is removing.  It does say that you should only leave this product on your skin for about 15 seconds and then washed off.  It also mentions that if the product doesn’t pill up then there is no dead skin to be removed.  Instructions mention that it should be done 3-4 nights a week, so I take that to mean every other night.
Exfoliare Exfoliating Gel retails for $35 for an entire 100 ml  of product.  I have used mine several times and still have almost a full bottle.  A little goes a long, long way.  I completely support this and urge you to get your hands on some, … like yesterday!

Cool Off this Summer with Perlier Italian Sorbet Limone Refreshing Crackling Ice Body Water

One of the coolest things I have discovered this summer is the Perlier Refreshing Crackling Ice Body Water.  It is AMAZING.  I have never heard of anything like this before.  It is kind of mind-boggling, such a different kind of product that people keep looking at me funny when I use it because they can’t figure out what exactly it is.

“It’s summertime. You’re sweltering. All you want is a cool, refreshing sorbet. How about indulging in a little sorbet sweetness — for your skin? Exuding an exhilarating scent, this granita is the perfect summertime skincare refreshment.”

So what exactly does it do?
  • Sparkling and crisp
  • Moisturizes and refreshes in one step
  • Makes your skin pleasantly smooth and scented
  • Crackles when applying to skin
  • Provides sudden and strong cooling effect
  • Formulated with food ingredients, just like a true fruit sorbet
  • Fresh and light texture gives a sorbet-like effect on the skin
  • Made in Italy
I almost have no words to describe it.  I feel like it is a true refresher.  It cools.  Check.  It leaves a clean fresh scent.  Check.  It moisturizes.  Check.  It adds a bit of whimsy.  Check.  It is a multitude of products all rolled into one.  I love it, my kid loves it, my husband loves it, and everyone that has seen me use it loves it.

I made a video on my Vine account the other day to show my readers how it works in action–SO glad Vine allows me to share and embed the video in my post.  Just look at it in action.

Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush

I have had the pleasure of reviewing the Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush for the last couple weeks and I must report that I am very pleased.

“Go from wet to beautifully styled hair faster than ever!  Super absorbent microfiber bristles remove 30% of water as you style*. It’s like a towel and a brush in one.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
• Absorbent microfiber bristles remove 30% of water for faster styling
• Antimicrobial microfiber keeps the brush fresh
• Side Vents for maximum air flow
• Lightweight design to reduce hand fatigue while drying
• Ergonomic handle is textured for extra grip”
The brush claims to reduces water in your hair by 30% so that it can dry faster.  The reason why is because of the wonderful technology.  The brush actually has two types of bristles: plastic and microfiber.  The plastic bristles are the classic paddle brush style bristles and they are to comb through your hair and actually get any tangles out.  The microfiber bristles (the blue ones) are actually to absorb the excess water.  It really is like having a towel inside your brush.  How many of you walk around with a towel on your head to absorb excess water before you get started styling your hair?  Mmm hmm… That is what I thought! ;)
Another snazzy idea that the folks at Goody incorporated into this brush is vents on the side of the paddle brush.  Not only are they helping you reduce drying time, but they are also helping you do it while staying sanitary.  These air vents are to allow a good amount of airflow to get to the microfiber bristles, which helps drying time for your hair and the bristles themselves.  Did I mention that the microfiber bristles are also protected with antimicrobial properties?  PLUS!

InStyle magazine actually voted it “BEST NEW BRUSH” in the Spring of 2012 and I can see why!  If you want to see a short demo of me using the brush, continue to watch my video below.

The Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush retails for $12.99 and you can find it at your local drugstore or big box store.  It is also available at the Goody website.  For additional information and discussion on this brush, feel free to click over to the Influenster Product Page for the brush.  I give this brush 2 thumbs up and you can rest assured knowing that it will be my hair drying brush from now on!
