MAC Cosmetics | Disney Cinderella Collection

So, growing up Disney’s Cinderella was one of my favorite movies.  I have taken bits and pieces of the movie and applied it to my real life.  One thing being “Not everything is as it seems” and the other is that I named my favorite pet ever after the fat rat, Gus.  I always loved the animation in the movie and everything was just so magical.  Because.  Magic.  The recently released MAC Cinderella collection is all I wanted it to be.  The packaging is BEYOND gorgeous and the shades are all ones I would wear daily.   Some may find neutrals to be boring, I see a gorgeous smokey eye or pin up look.

The Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow X 6 palette is full of a bunch of permanent shades that I happen to not own because I just never picked them up or I hit pan.  There is one shade, in which the palette is named after, that is limited edition.  The shades are as follows: Vapour (V), Phloof (F), Omega (M), Quarry (M), Satin Taupe (F), Stoke of Midnight (V).

I am so in love with this palette.  It is so neutral and you can do so much with it.  There is a nice variety of mattes and satins and shimmers.  There variation in light and dark shades is perfect.  Well done.

The Coupe D’Chic Irridecent Powder/Pressed is love hate for me.  I LOVE the packaging.  Like woah.  I love anything that is blue and has a pearlescent pink shimmer.  The powder itself is just sort of boring for me.  I would have loved to see more of that peachy pink shade in the powder itself.  All I get is the gold shimmer.  Don’t get me wrong, it is pretty but I wanted just a little more of the pink in it.

The Happily Ever After Lip Glass is everything.  Exactly what I pictured in my head is what it is.  The blue shimmers in the nude-pink lip gloss is perfection.  Yes, it is a sticky lip gloss but that is what ensures that it stays on your lips longer than 5 minutes.

NARS Spring 2015

If there is one thing I love it is nude or natural looking makeup.  I love shades that resemble skin tones but add a little something.  That is what NARS Spring 2015 is all about.

NARS Spring 2015

While NARS is known for daring colors and a lot of flash, this collection shows a different side of the brand.  François explains, “I think a woman can look very beautiful not wearing any color at all but just neutral shades of beiges, browns, and ivories. You can really sculpt the face in a very beautiful way without always having to use bold shades. That’s what this collection is all about. I thought it was very fresh and surprising, which is what I always love to do: surprise people.”

NARS Spring 2015

This entire NARS Spring 2015 collection is basically so ‘me’.  I love barely there shade that just enhance what you are already have.  And I love how the eye shadows have that sunkissed look.  I am IN LOVE.  Seriously.  So simplistic.  So chic.

NARS Spring 2015

St-Paul-De-Vence Eyeshadow Duo contains the boldest tones in the collection while staying very muted and pretty.  If you have always wanted to rock coppery goodness but felt you couldn’t, I would give this duo a go.  You can go take a peek at it here.

NARS Spring 2015

There is something to be said for one of those “swipe all over the lid and done” eyeshadows and Valhalla does it right.  This shimmery pink peach is like angels kissed your lids and blessed them with the ability to to wear nothing but THIS shade and without guilt.  It brightens, it draws attention and its amazing.  Found here.NARS Spring 2015

Reckless is a gorgeous sheer pink shimmer.  It makes for a fabulous highlight.  I like to pop it on the cheekbones, cupids bow and inner corner of the eyes.  It really pulls the warm copper tones back and makes everything a bit more balanced.  Found here.

NARS Spring 2015

The texture of the items I have from NARS Spring 2015 are as amazing as they typically are.   Maybe even smoother than normal.  The color payoff is perfection.  Like I said, they are muted tones but really pack a punch.  Available at NARS.

I don’t have any of the lippies in the NARS Spring 2015 collection but they mimic the same tones as the ones I am showing you.  If you are like me and love the nudes and everyday wearable shades then this collection will be singing you lullabies and making you want to cuddle them.  Here is a picture of my #selfie on Instagram wearing the collection.  You should follow me if you aren’t already.  I share so much stuff there that never makes it to the blog!

BFTE Makeup

Beauty From The Earth or BFTE Cosmetics is a brand that has been around a while but has recently been bought out my a lovely friend of mine.  I had never given it a go before and I am so glad that I finally did.  I have been using these products for months now.  I started playing with these products around November and have been really digging in.

bfte-1

I love all of the eyeshadows that they come out with month after month, but I think I am most excited about their mineral foundation.  There are 11 shades in the line with an option to mix them for a Custom Blend.  I tried out 5 small sample jars (that were $2 each) to find a match for myself and none of them were spot on, but I had a good grasp from the samples which shades mixed together would work for me and they blended it for me and it was everything!

bfte-2

I use the mineral foundation like it is meant to be used but also as concealer and it layers really well.  It really evens out my skintone and counteracts all my redness very easily.

And just take a look at these gorgeous eyeshadows!  The one on the far right is my favorite.  It is such an interesting color.  It is a red bronzy brown and it is called Stuff It!  I believe it was LE and no longer available but I still wanted to show you how gorgeous it is, which is true throughout the entire selection of shades!

bfte-5

Please excuse my sleepy looking face.  This photo was taken after a super long day.  I am actually rocking an entire face of BFTE Cosmetics.  I love the way the mineral foundation looks on my skin (and lasts) as well as how gorgeous the eyeshadows are.  It all holds up really well.

BFTE-makeup-look

Here is a look that I rocked back during the fall wearing the mineral foundation.  It is a little more clear, a little more in focus.  I actually really like this photo because you can SEE MY SKIN.  It looks like my skin and not a ton of cakey makeup.  I think that is perfection!

Definitely check out Beauty From The Earth and tell them I sent ya! <3

Milani Spring 2015

I feel like I usually go on and on about mid to high end brands and never mention too many drugstore brands.  I do like drugstore stuff and a lot of my staples are from the drugstore.  When it comes to drugstore products I think that Milani knocks it out of the park on a regular basis.  I would even venture to say that they are my current favorite drugstore brand.  Today I want to share with you all of the reviews I have done on the Milani Spring 2015 Collection.

Milani Spring 2015

There are Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipsticks, Rose Powder Blushes, Fierce Foil Eyeshines, Fierce Foil Eyeliners and a brand new Kohl Kajal.  I have written detailed reviews on each of these new releases and I encourage you to go and read them all.

Milani Spring 2015 Collection | Lipsticks

One of the releases I am most excited about is the Milani Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick!  I am not kidding…  You will drool over the pictures I captured of these lipsticks!

Milani Rose Powder Blush | Review and Swatches

The Milani Rose Powder Blush collection is always breathtaking.  None of the shades that released this year are new, they are repromotes from previous years.  Not gonna lie though, they are so beautiful.

Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliner

The Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliners are really interesting.  There are four shades and you HAVE to check out those swatches!

milani-kohl-kajal-liner

I am a big BIG fan of kajal liners so the Milani Supreme Kohl Kajal Eyeliner is a big thing in my eyes.  I love that it twists up and it is so intense.

Milani Fierce Foil Eyeshines

The Milani Fierce Foil Eyeshines have been getting a lot of buzz lately and I personally think they remind me a lot of the Stila Metallic shadows.  Check out my review and swatches on those!

That pretty much wraps up all of the posts I did on the Milani Spring 2015 Collection.  So many interesting releases and I think that all are noteworthy. So now that I have told you all about my current favorite drugstore brand you should definitely check out the drugstore brands that are the favorites of my fellow Makeup Warriors!
