As you can see by the title, this post is about the #SuaveFamily VoxBox from Influenster. I received my box a few days ago and I have to say that I am pretty excited! There were 3 full-sized products from the Suave Brand: a Suave Naturals Creamy Body Wash in Milk & Honey Splash, a Suave Kids 3-in-1 in Razzle-Dazzle Raspberry, and Suave Men 2-in-1 in Ocean Charge. A little something for everyone in the family!
The Suave Naturals Creamy Body Wash in Milk & Honey Splash smells magnificent and feels luxurious on the skin. When you wash with it it gives you a sense of warmth and comfort. The scent is very reminiscent of Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar (which I have to admit was my favorite body splash in the 90s)! It lathers up great and washes away leaving no residue behind, just soft, supple skin!
“Enriched with moisturizing milk proteins and the fresh scent of honey, Suave Naturals® Creamy Milk & Honey Splash will leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and delightfully fragrant.” – Suave
Suave Kids 3-in-1 Razzle Dazzle Raspberry has Papa Smurf on the bottle and has a great scent that any kid will love. My son has been using it and loves it. He will be 8 years old next week, and let’s face it… kids at that age aren’t going to wash properly if they have to use a bunch of different products. He loves that it is a one stop shop and it speeds up bathing time so he can get back to all of those important things he has going on… like… err… video games?
Also, his eyes are sensitive to soaps and such and this Tear Free formula keeps him drama-free!
Suave Men 2-in-1 in Ocean Charge smells sexy. It is that perfect man scent! When this scent is rolling out of the steamy shower while my husband is getting his clean on it brings a smile to my face. It acts as a Shampoo and Conditioner and is compared to American Crew, which is a salon brand. My husband has used both brands and says that he feels they work the same.
“Cleans and conditions all in one step. Designed for the specific needs of men’s hair.” – Suave
Overall, the #SuaveFamily VoxBox was great. I was able to make everyone in the family happy… The Suave brand has been a staple with my family, and it was a staple with me from before then. I can remember being a child and getting the smell-good cleaning products in my bath and shower purchased by my mom. Affordable and effective, Suave knows their stuff!
I have had the pleasure of reviewing the Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush for the last couple weeks and I must report that I am very pleased.
“Go from wet to beautifully styled hair faster than ever! Super absorbent microfiber bristles remove 30% of water as you style*. It’s like a towel and a brush in one.
• Absorbent microfiber bristles remove 30% of water for faster styling
• Antimicrobial microfiber keeps the brush fresh
• Side Vents for maximum air flow
• Lightweight design to reduce hand fatigue while drying
• Ergonomic handle is textured for extra grip”
The brush claims to reduces water in your hair by 30% so that it can dry faster. The reason why is because of the wonderful technology. The brush actually has two types of bristles: plastic and microfiber. The plastic bristles are the classic paddle brush style bristles and they are to comb through your hair and actually get any tangles out. The microfiber bristles (the blue ones) are actually to absorb the excess water. It really is like having a towel inside your brush. How many of you walk around with a towel on your head to absorb excess water before you get started styling your hair? Mmm hmm… That is what I thought!
Another snazzy idea that the folks at Goody incorporated into this brush is vents on the side of the paddle brush. Not only are they helping you reduce drying time, but they are also helping you do it while staying sanitary. These air vents are to allow a good amount of airflow to get to the microfiber bristles, which helps drying time for your hair and the bristles themselves. Did I mention that the microfiber bristles are also protected with antimicrobial properties? PLUS!
InStyle magazine actually voted it “BEST NEW BRUSH” in the Spring of 2012 and I can see why! If you want to see a short demo of me using the brush, continue to watch my video below.
The Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush retails for $12.99 and you can find it at your local drugstore or big box store. It is also available at the Goody website. For additional information and discussion on this brush, feel free to click over to the Influenster Product Page for the brush. I give this brush 2 thumbs up and you can rest assured knowing that it will be my hair drying brush from now on!
*The product mentioned in this post was provided from Infuenster through their VoxBox program. All opinions are my own. Some of the photos utilized in this post belong to Goody.
I recently received the latest Vox Box from Influenster and it is the Holiday 2012 box. I wanted to share with you all the goodies inside!
As you can see it had lots of goodies and I can’t wait to jump right in to tell you.
First of all there is a brush from Goody called QuikSTYLE. I was JUST looking at this at the store the other day and was so close to purchasing it. I like to let my hair air dry and I am always looking for something that claims to cut down drying time. This looks like just the tool.
The next think included is the Kiss Nail Dress. It is in a very pretty pattern and I can’t wait to try them. I will more than likely put these on my toes because I like my fingernails to be a little less busy.
A NYC Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City was also included in this box. I already received this exact item from Influenster previously so I am pretty surprised to see it again. Because I already own this I am doing a giveaway on my YouTube channel so mozy on over there to enter.
Influenster typcally includes some sort of food product and this one is the Quaker Oats Real Medleys Summer Berry Oatmeal. I must say that I am pretty excited about it! I am pregnant (as I have stated over and over) and now need something to keep me full for longer while also delivering a perfect dose of nutrition. I also like breakfast items that are portable. This is an all-in-one punch for my needs. I will be sure to review this one!
Another thing that I am in desperate need of since becoming pregnant is energy. Eboost is an all natural energy supplement and I am looking forward to trying this. I am going to do a bit more research before I consume this though because it seems too good to be true and I don’t want to endanger my sweet baby girl if I can avoid it.
Another item included in this box was a coupon code for Sole Society. The code Influenster25 will give you $25 off of your first order, so check that out!!!
Here is a video that I made of my unboxing. Hope you enjoy it. Remember to enter the giveaway being hosted there!
*This box was received because I am a member of Influenster.
I was lucky enough to be invited to receive the latest Influenster Beauty VoxBox, this one is the summer edition. These products don’t necessarily have a summer theme but they are all things that I would use year round.
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is the only product in this box that is truly geared towards summer. I have noticed this in stores lately and was intrigued by the look of the product. I am looking forward to trying a body moisturization product that includes SPF. I honestly don’t have anything like that in my current line-up.
A Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color was also included in the Summer VoxBox. These are new on the market and I was just before picking up this EXACT color! I am very excited to try this and will be posting a new mani here very soon!
Something that I have never even heard of before is Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. It is targeted to nourish the scalp which will lead to healthier/stronger hair, which I am in favor of! :) I love trying new hair products. My hair is twice as long as it was when I first started this blog and I think it because I have really made an effort to try new things and report back to you all. It seems to really be working out for me.
Another Sally Hansen product in this box was the Nails & Cuticles Hand Creme. It is made with shea butter which is one of the most moisturizing products I have encountered. I have a problem with dry hands… I think that I must wash my hands and use anti-bac gels too much. I work in a building with 300 people so I am sort of a germ-a-phobe and it really takes a toll on my hands. Hopefully this will solve my problem.
Something sort of unexpected this go round was a few of the Tampax and Always Radiant Collection products. When the line first came out I sort of laughed at the name “Radiant”, wondering how these types of products could make me feel any different than other feminine hygiene products… I may or may not report back to you on that! :) What I can say is that I adore the little pouch these came in. Perfect for disguising those embarrassing trips to the bathroom while at work.
Last but certainly not least was a Quaker Soft Baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread. I photographed this and I was starving because it was just before lunch time, and I am gonna be completely honest here… I DEVOURED this bar in the seconds following this picture being snapped. It was very good! I was quite impressed. I loved the nuts on top… not too hard but perfect. The bar itself was quite tasty! I haven’t seen these on shelves yet, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there. I will definitely be purchasing these to keep stocked in my work desk.
In case you want to see what the information is on the card they included, here it is.
Which product would you like to see a review on first? Is there any questions about any of these products that you want to see addressed? Let me know in the comments below!
*These items were sent from Influenster for editorial consideration.
I am a woman of a short 5’2” (okay, okay… 5’1 1/2”) build and the boost of a nice heel improves the appearance of my body. Makes my legs appear longer, my body looks leaner, my posture improves… There are many, many benefits to wearing heels for us shorter ladies! I LOVE wearing gorgeous heels but sometimes they just aren’t worth the fuss of aching feet. In my last Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox I received the Dr. Scholl’s For Her Ball of Foot cushions.
You may remember the Dr. Scholl’s For Her High Heel‘s post that I did back in September, so you know that as soon as I saw these in the VoxBox my heart skipped a beat.
I adore these high heels, nude patent leather is always a yes for me… especially with the interesting toe and the wooden platform/heel. Well guess how many times these babies have been worn? Twice… the day I bought them… and then 4 months after that. They are comfy when you first put them on but they seriously hurt after walking around for a while in them.
The Ball of Foot cushions are super simple to insert. You peel the protective backing off of the pad and that reveals the sticky-ish surface that you apply to your insole. And VOILA! It is done! Instant happy feet!
INFO FROM THE BRAND:
“Created uniquely for women’s shoes, the slim design of Dr. Scholl’s®For Her Ball of Foot Cushions prevents your feet from sliding forward, so you avoid “toe scrunch”. Plus, they fit comfortably and discreetly in both open- and closed-toe shoes.
Helps prevent ball of foot pain
Immediate Massaging Gel™ comfort for the ball of your foot
Only ball of foot product made with unique FabuSTEP®gel
Prevents toe scrunch
Stays firmly in place
Removable without damage to your shoes
Discreetly fits all women’s shoes”
I think they are terrific. When you are first getting used to them, the feeling of something slightly squishy takes a second to get used to, but after that first 2 minutes I hardly noticed them. It almost felt like walking on air compared to the hard surface of the insole. This won’t be my last item from Dr. Scholl’s. They have a returning customer out of me! It is suggested that you change out your pads every 6 months or so, which I plan on doing.
In the most recent Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox I received a full sized Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist. I was lucky enough to receive it in one of my favorite scents from the company: Sweet Pea! This fragrance has been purchased by me in various different forms. I adore the Wallflowers in this scent as well as the lotion.
INFO FROM THE BRAND:
“Fine fragrance in a mist as light as air. Discover a better, more delicate fragrance experience in over 20 Signature fragrances. It’s love at first mist! Exclusively at Bath & Body Works.

Lots of scents to choose from!
WHERE TO BUY:
You can find Bath and Body Works products at a registered retail store near you!
Suggest retail price of the Fine Fragrance Mists: $14.00
I have had their body splashes in the past and I am happy to say that these are so much nicer. When you spritz it it does come out to more of a mist than a splash! The bottle is new and definitely plays to those who enjoy a more sophisticated product. I enjoyed the body splashes before but the name Fine Fragrance Mist even sounds more appealing!
As far as the scent goes, Sweet Pea is a fruity floral scent inspired by the Mediterranean. Top notes include Sweet Pea, Watery Pear, Logan Berry, and Rhubarb. Mid notes are Cyclamen, Freesia, and Raspberry. The base note is Musk. I am please to see that it also includes aloe which helps to condition and nourish your skin. Great scent and even more excited about the extra nourishment.
All in all, I enjoyed this product very much. I am looking forward to trying more of the Fine Fragrance Mists in other scents!
I received the Sheer Cover Duo Concealer in my Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox. I was happy to see something like this in one of the VoxBoxes because I am sort of obsessed with complexion and and always looking for something newer or better!
I love concealers that include two shades. This one is in Light/Medium. I use both shades. The lighter one for areas that I want to brighten and I mix the two to customize a perfect shade to cover up any unwanted unsightlies!
As you can see, The colors work well with my skintone.
Before I get into my thoughts I wanted to share some Info From The Brand:
“Sheer Cover® Concealer is perfect for all skin types and tones. Our concealer is a customer favorite offering a custom blend for the various shades on your face and covers up imperfections. WHERE TO BUY:
Customers can visit www.SheerCover.com or call 1-877-489-2035 to purchase Sheer Cover. $29.95 for the concealer (non-member price) and $29.95 for the introductory system, which also includes the Duo Concealer. For additional info, visit their product page here: Sheer Cover Duo Concealer
I really enjoy this concealer! I prefer concealers that aren’t thick and goopy but still have good pigmentation so that they actually cover any discoloration or what-have-you. It really smooths right on without any tugging or dragging and blends right in.
I first would like to mention that this concealer is a mineral based concealer–which surprises me. When I think minerals I think of loose powders and such, not cream products. It has jojoba oil in it to hydrate your skin while also covering, as well as allantoin which helps soothe irritated skin. I believe I mentioned before that I adore products that perform more than one function! :)
Yes, ANOTHER nail post! As you all know nail polish and nail care have started ranking pretty high on my beauty interests list. I am happy to share with you the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips that I received from Influenster in my Spring Beauty VoxBox. The one I received is called Animal Instinct. These are totally not a design I would pick out for myself but I love exploring my “wild side” from time to time!
What you get in the pack: 16 Nail Polish Strips, Cuticle Stick, Mini File & Buffer.
These are NOT stickers like the appliques I have tried in the past. These are actual nail polish that come in strips. I know many people out there prefer the feel of polish versus a sticker. This is very close to a result you would get from nail stamping–only easier! The picture below was taken 2 days after the first picture. As you can see there was no chipping, only wear around the cuticles.
Information provided by the brand:
“Don’t Get Stuck With a Sticker!
Nothing feels or wears like real nail polish. Now Sally makes it easy to get Salon Effects anytime, any place using real nail polish – with no dry time! Don’t settle for plastic imitations that peel off. We’re the real thing. Just peel, apply & file! Learn more at www.sallyhansen.com
No dry time
Lasts up to 10 days
Removes easily with nail polish remover
40 must-have styles”
Where To Buy:
Available at chain drug stores, food stores and mass merchandisers nationally.
Suggested Retail Price: $9.99, but I usually see them for a little less than that.
I had a little trouble with application. Mostly due to circumstances out of Sally Hansen’s control! lol I have oddly shaped cuticles and it is hard to get a perfect fit for my cuticle. The good think is that this is REAL polish so the way I fixed the Nail Polish Strips around the cuticle was go over the cuticle a big and correct it with the orange wood stick that is provided in the package. I also clean up the sides of the nails with the stick too.
Other than my own issues everything else is a breeze. You clean your nails: I use polish remover or alcohol to cleanse your nails of any oil or residue that could potentially be on the nail bed which could prevent the strips from adhering properly. Then match the polish strip to the proper nail, peel the stickers/protective covers off of the strip and lay it down. File the excess off of the ends and you are good to go (after you clean up the edges with the stick). Simple 1, 2, 3 process and you look like you went out and spent lots of money on a salon manicure (or pedicure).
I found that these lasted a fair amount of days. I ended up taking them off a little early due to the fact that I had an important client at work I needed to meet with so my “party animal” nails needed to be left for the weekend. The good thing is that tehre are lots of different styles to chose from and some are very sensible, mature and wearable.
There is no drying time involved. It says that you should add a top coat to it to extend the length of wear but I didn’t do that and I had no problems with chipping.
My Newest Addiction Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ (5 out of 5)
I think these are great for people that don’t enjoy nail stickers. These are just as easy as the stickers are to apply but they give the feel of real nail polish. There are lots of prints to chose from, as well as solid colors. I feel that this line has something for everyone.
Recently I won a Brand Challenge on Influenster for the Love VoxBox for the Kiss Nail Dress blog post I wrote. I can not explain to you enough how much I adore the Kiss Nail Dress line. I was skeptical at first about putting a sticker on my hands and toes but let me just tell you—–they last for weeks! Not days like nail polish. No matter what brand of polish I wear I always get fading on the tips and chips all over in days. I had the Kiss stickers on for over a week and they looked perfect! I was so thrilled that I decided to do a pedi with them. There were enough stickers to do my fingers and my toes and I still had some left over. Get this…. I had these stickers on my toes for over two weeks… maybe almost 3. The day I took them off my toes they looked just as perfect as the day I put them on. I am not kidding.
Here is the beautiful design I received as my prize. I am super excited about it because it is going to look like I BeDazzled my nails! LOL So pretty! And the jewels really stand out on the black background.
I also received another item and this one I have never tried (or seen) before, which is Kiss Nail Artist. They are metallic accents for your nails…. basically studs. Studs are a huge trends for handbags, belts and other items like watches and bracelets right now, so why not extend that onto your nail beds? :) I am really excited about this. Summer time is here and its time to break out the flip flops and do the craziest nail art possible. Anything goes for nails in summer!
Thanks for stopping by to see my latest thoughts on this and that! :) Have you tried anything in the Kiss Nails line? If so what was it and what did you think of it? I am super impressed with everything I have tried thus far!
