Makeup Wars: My Favorite Illuminizers

The week’s Makeup Wars is all about or favorite ways to highlight.  That gave me the opportunity to show off my favorite illuminizers.  One of my favorite types of products to collect are highlighters/illuminizers.  They just add something that no other product can.

Guerlain Meteorites are a perfect all over powder that adds subtle illumination.  I have a couple of these: Perles Du Dragon and Teint Beige.  Even though the ballz inside are different colors they give the same overall effect, in my opinion.
BECCA Shimmer Skin Perfecter in Opal is a beautiful liquid illuminator.  It has a chic sheen that is really perfect.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick is one of the more sparkly of the bunch.  It is absolutely one of my most favorite ones to look at in the pan for certain.  I have even gone far enough to use the different stripes as eyeshadows.  There are several different shades of these, I have a pinker version and it kind of reminds me of the more shimmery shades in Naked3! :D
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish are beautiful powder illuminizers.  There are a ton of different shades; a few in the permanent line and new limited edition ones churning out all the time.
Michael Kors Leg Shine is a beautiful cream illuminator for the body.  You simply apply it to an area of the arms, legs or decollate that are a peak and it will look super natural and healthy.
NARS Copacabana Illuminator is the only highlighter I actually enjoy from NARS.  None of the other ones look right on me.  Copacabana gives the perfect glow, and it is admittedly a tad bit shimmery but not overly so!
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance leaves a soft glow on the cheekbones.  I love this one because it is so subtle that anyone can use it.
MAC Pink Rebel Lustre Drops are a multi-use product.  I actually like to mix just a touch of this into my foundation to create a soft all-over glow.
Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc is a highlighter divided into four different parts.  There are also four different shades to choose from.  I have also used the different colors of these as eyeshadows.

My Favorite Christmas Polishes

Affiliate Links.
Christmas mani’s are fun whether you are doing an intricate design or just a plain colored mani.  There is something exciting about Christmas shades like red, green, and sparkle!  :)  These are a few of my most favorite polishes for the season!

One of my all-time-favorite reds is Zoya America.  I got it during the summer a couple years ago and it is absolutely fabulous.  Another red that is slightly deeper is Butter London Pillar Box Red.  Both are fantastic and they will leave you with bombshell nails.

A fun red and black glitter from Spoiled by Wet n Wild called Ants in my Pants is a great way to dazzle up your accent/ring finger.  The best green I have ever come into contact with is Butter London Wallis.  Wallis makes fantastic trees or wreathes (which is what I made last year)!

Too add some shimmer and sparkle to your mani the rest of these are MUST HAVES or at least find a good dupe if necessary!  If you need a perfect bedazzled silver bell then Milani Jewel FX in Silver is PERFECT!  A perfect glitter to give the effect of snow is Urban Outfitter’s Unicorn!  Orly Rage is another shimmery, sparkly perfect for anytime of year nail polish.  I mean that… this polish is perfect for any occasion but I had to add it to this roundup just because!
Last, and most fabulous is the Sephora by OPI It’s Real 18K Gold Top Coat.  Yep, real 18K gold glitter.  This will look amazing over Wallis to look like Christmas lights!  This is no longer available but I have seen others out there!

Well, MERRY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  I am so excited about this season!  What are your favorite festive polishes?

Current Favorites in October 2013

I don’t do many “favorites” posts anymore…  Mostly because I feel like they can get redundant.  My favorites rarely change month to month and typically if it does I more than likely just reviewed it.  My most recent favorite things are different or new and less talked about than most products so I wanted to mention them.

I will start with a non-beauty product…  This ADORABLE coin purse with “Addicted To Shopping” embossed on the front is adorable.  I got it from ASOS for a little more than $7.  (Link here)  It is so cute, sturdy, and affordable.  Love the leopard lining!

Some brushes that are standard in my get-ready routine are the Japonesque smudge brush and a dual ended Laura Mercier brush that has their Ponytail brush and a flat shader brush.  These 3 brushes are all I need to complete any look I have in mind.  They actually stay in my travel makeup bag.  I tend to do my eye makeup at work a lot so minimal brushes are necessary.

Two products from L’Oreal have had me in awe.  I haven’t used many drugstore mascaras in the last year but the L’Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions is truly great.  I have been very upset that my lashes are seeming short and falling out post-pregnancy and this mascara has honestly given me hope.  If you take a look at my previous post about the Lumene CC Cream you can see in the very last picture that my lashes look so crazy long… I was wearing this mascara.  The other product is the liner from L’Oreal called Color Riche. I have it in black, purple, and blue…  the pigmentation is amazing and it transfers so smoothly… I will be doing a review soon on these.
Two other things I am using a lot of lately are MAC Blot Powder (which has been moved into a beautiful Heatherette compact).  It is a nice powder to have on hand for touch ups throughout the day.  A perfume that never leaves my purse is Philosphy Falling in Love.  I have owned this fragrance for years and recently am loving the roller ball version.

The last few products that I can’t get enough of lately are the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe.  It is the perfect base for a nice smoky eye.  Honestly, just this color on your lid is a great daytime look, very versatile!
Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in Nearly Naked is a perfect no fuss lip product.  It is one of those lip colors that looks amazing no matter what you pair with it.  Truly a go-to product for myself.
The City Color Cosmetics Eye Shadow Primer has also been a favorite since the day I opened the tube.  I love the texture, the opacity, and the longevity it provides is perfect.  I also love that the price point is affordable for anyone with any budget.
Hope you have enjoyed reading a little bit about my current favorite products.  If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them in the comments below.

April 2013 Favorites

I have a looooot of favorites for April 2013.  A lot of it is because I have been super un-experimental with my makeup for the last month or two.  The things I have chosen are high quality, extremely easy to use products.  Some thing were just discovered in the month of April, and some were long time loves.  A few were provided from the companies for an honest review and the fact that they showed up in a favorites post is quite a high honor.  So, without further adieu…

This has been my go-to blush since the day I got it in the mail.  It is such a PERFECT color!  I have never gotten so many compliments on my actual BLUSH than when I wear this one.  I think I opted for a different color only 2-3 times all month.  Love, love, love, love, L O V E!
When I wear this cream eyeshadow I don’t bother putting a primer down prior.  It lasts all day and the color is absolutely beautiful all on it’s own.  I rarely put anything over this cream eyeshadow when I wear this.  It also blends out really nicely so that it doesn’t need any other product added to the overall look..
Another terrific product from It Cosmetics.  I can wear it alone or over a liquid foundation for a look of perfection.  I often wear it on my t-zone to tone down any shine.  I can apply it in the morning and it really keeps me looking great all day.
This is another powder that I love to wear all over.  Instead of reducing shine this helps me bring dimension back into my appearance.  It is such a beautiful powder and can be used in a number of ways.  For the one in Dim Light I feel like it really adds a nice warmth all over.
This is a foundation that I bought on a whim one day and literally fell head over heels.  It isn’t for everyone, but those that love it REALLLLLLY love it.  I am one of them.  It gives me a great natural skin look while also providing a plenty of coverage.
What a gorgeous eye color.  It is a nice chocolately brown shade.  It looks great all over the lid and blended up into the crease.  It also works great as a crease color on a light lid.  Very versatile and will look great on so many people.  It is beautifully pigmented and I will admit that sometimes I apply it onto my lid with my fingertips.
The Illusion d’Ombre cream eyeshadows from Chanel are amazing.  The shade called Emerveille is one that works perfectly on it’s own.  I have been going for that fresh-faced spring look a lot and this is sometimes the only thing on my eyes other than mascara.
(8) Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream
I ran out of the eye cream that I have been using for months and finally opened up the sample jar of the Tatcha eye cream and I absolutely love it.  It is nice and thick and hydrating.  It isn’t so thick that you can’t wear it during the day though.  It sinks in quickly and really helps turn back the time around my eyes.
My absolute favorite fragrance the entire month of April has been the Vanille fragrance from Laura Mercier.  It is perfect for layering but also complex enough to really smell unique on it’s own.
These are my favorites for April 2013.  What were yours?  Tell me in the comments below!

March 2013 Favorites

It has been a long time since I have done a favorites post but I wanted to run through a few of my favorite things for last month.  Some of these products I have been using for months and some are new to me within the month of March (with some received through working with PR).  Without further adieu…
Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water is amazing.  This is actually my 2nd bottle of the amazing cleanser and I have a third bottle waiting in the wings.  It is a nice super gentle liquid cleanser that is as mild as water but removes makeup with extreme ease.  My favorite use for this is to put some on a cotton swab and then remove the excess mascara from around my eyes.  No matter how well I clean my face I always am left with raccoon eyes and I hate to tug too much on that area, so this product is PERFECT for that.
Dior Lip Polish Smoothing Lacquer has been my go-to lip gloss since the day I bought it.  I love that the wand on it spins and I actually really love the moisturizing formula.  The glossy finish is gorgeous!
IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation has been a go to product for me all month.  I am nearing the end of my pregnancy with just a little over a month left to go and I have been very lazy with my makeup.  I have been slapping on as little as I can get away with and out the door I go.  That being said, I have not had to compromise my complexion at all because this foundation is amazing.  Paired with the brush that came with it in the Hello, Beautiful kit, this foundation buffs into the skin nicely and can be built up into a medium-full coverage.  I didn’t expect a powder to look so flawless and un”powdery” but I am very pleased with it.
Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour in Platinum has been a favorite of mine for over a year. It is a nice neutral shade to wear on it’s own and as a base.  I have been using it both ways lately… and before the last few months I would have used this over a primer but in my laziness I have realized how awesome this creme shadow is on it’s own so it has turned INTO my go-to primer as well.
It Cosmetics Tightline Full Lash Length Black Primer is another new product for March but it QUICKLY found it’s way into my heart and daily routine.  If there is one thing I love it’s the look of long luscious lashes and this mascara primer surely delivers.  It does such a great job that I HAVE actually worn this on it’s own.  Obviously it is meant to be topped off with a real mascara and when you do WOW!  This is something I don’t ever want to be without.
NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara is a surprise favorite for the month.  I have had it for a month but I am kind of overloaded with great mascaras at the moment so I am always trying to put mascaras back until I actually have a need of opening one.  Well I finally broke this one out at the beginning of the month and my first thought was “HOLY MOLEY! That wand is huge!”  It is one of the fattest, most over-sized brushes I have ever seen in my life but it makes the prettiest, flirty, fluffy looking lashes!  The price point is really affordable and it acts like a much more expensive shadow.  How impressive!
Overall, I have had some great luck with makeup in all of my lazy glory.  All of these products are no fuss but really pack a punch.  Some of these things I received through working with PR and some I purchased myself but all of them are loved equally.  I am hoping that I get a boost of energy sometime soon because I would love to see what these products can do if I actually put a bit more effort into my daily face!  :)

Top 12 of 2012

The “Top 12 of 2012” tag has been going around… or maybe I should say that it already went around but I never got around to it UNTIL NOW!  This tag is rounding up my favorite beauty products of 2012.  I knew what I wanted to have in my top favorites, I just never had the time to sit and post them.  I am currently watching Once Upon a Time while veg-ing out on my bed so I decided to snap pics where I sit.
I am not grouping these favorites in any particular order, but I am clustering them together with similar products.  First up are actual makeup items.

Shu Uemura Stage Performer is an amazing product.  I use it as a primer for my foundation.  It adds a beautiful glow to your skin.  I am oily and I am mostly afraid of looking oily… I can say that this gives me a healthy skin glow, not one that looks greasy.
A go-to palette for me all year has been from Bare Minerals called The Truth.  I have had this for a long time now and reviewed it for you hear already.  It was one of the first READY products I used from the brand.  Since I have started working at Bare Minerals it gets a good bit more use than even before.  It is a palette that I sell to lots of my customers.  Just about every time I wear it to work I have a customer ask me excitedly what is on my eyes.
My favorite mascara of the year (maybe of all time) is by It Cosmetics and it is called Hello Lashes!  I have also reviewed this before here on my blog.  It is a great mascara and it makes my lashes look twice as long as they are on their on… It may even be three times as long…  I love it.  Sad that this one is empty.  It has had much love though.

A surprise product that stands out for me this year is from La Vanilla called The Healthy Deodorant.  It smells nice and it really does help keep me from having a smell due to perspiring.  A more important tid-bit is that it is aluminum free.  I learned 10+ years ago that aluminum can cause Alzheimer’s and it frankly freaks me out.  Aluminum is an ingredient in most deodorants and seems super unnecessary.  I tried a few all natural deodorants but never liked any of them until this one.  This one is in the scent Pure Vanilla.  My preferred scent is Vanilla Coconut.

Some hair products that I loved in 2012 are definitely my go-to’s for their specific categories.
Salon Grafix Invisible Dry Spray Shampoo is the best; let me say that again… THE B E S T dry shampoo I have ever used.  I have tried every dry shampoo I could get my hands on and was always disappointed.  None of them did what I expected them to do.  The Salon Grafix one is amazing and actually makes my oily hair look as though it has been freshly cleansed.
Redken Radiant Sea Spray was my favorite spray during the summer months.  I did a lot of tousled hair styles during the summer and this was the key to making it look great.  It has a beautiful fresh sea spray scent and it is sort of tacky and quite perfect for looking like your hair air dried after a dip in the ocean.
All year round, every time I cleanse my hair I use It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product.  It smells great and it leaves my hair more healthy and shiny each time I use it.  I cannot tell you which bottle this is because I do not know.  I have been using this product for about 4 years and I always buy the big bottle.  I don’t for-see anything taking it’s place.

For my skincare products I have a couple of cleansers and a couple of moisturizing products.
Bare Minerals Naturally Luminous Purifying Facial Cleanser is am awesome cleanser.  It feels great on the skin: it cleanses without stripping the skin of natural oils that belong there.  It also takes off all my makeup.  I used to use two different cleansers in my shower and with this product I don’t find that necessary anymore.
Reviva Labs Firming Eye Serum has been a favorite product since the day I received it.  It feels great on my eye and I feel like it makes that part of my face look younger.  I am in the last year of my 20s and my skin is no longer at it’s peak.  Everything is starting to head downhill and I feel like staying on top my skin is really going to help me over the years to come.
Tatcha Deep Brightening Serum has been a godsend.  This product is now empty and I am about to purchase my second full sized bottle.  I had a half sized amount first but as soon as I finished it I started on this full sized bottle.  Now that I am out I am so sad.  My skin has never looked better using other serums or moisturizers.  I can see that it has fade my dark spots or discoloration due to break outs.. and in fact I feel like it doesn’t irritate my skin and my breakouts are fewer and farther between.
Another great product from Tatcha is the One Step Camelia Cleansing Oil.  This is the 2nd full size I have purchased it it.  I feel like it has played a part in making my skin look amazing.  I typically use this in the evening.  I take a couple pumps into my hands and massage it all over my face and it dissolves all of my makeup right off and even takes every trace of mascara off.  It is the best oil cleanser I have ever used.

Shiseido Facial Cotton is far superior to other facial cottons.  I can use one of these cotton squares and it do everything I need it too… with other brands I would need 2-4 of and probably still not have everything done that I need.  It seems silly to go on and on about Shiseido Facial Cotton but when something is so superior to others, it is hard not to talk about it.

I am thankful to those of you that asked me what my favorite products of 2012 were.  I am sorry it took me so long to get to it.  Thank you for motivating me to do this post.
What were your favorite products of 2012?

October 2012 Favorites

Wow… this feels like strange territory!  It has been so long since I did a Favorites post… Like June or maybe even further back.  I have been sort of uninspired recently to do favorites because sometimes most of the time it ends up being a lot of the products that I reviewed that month and I hate to reiterate the same points.  This month’s favorites was all about rediscoveries!  I took these photos with my iPhone because my camera’s battery died RIGHT as I went to snap the first picture! Ready?

For starters I want to mention the color products.  The MAC quad was made by me.  I haven’t been using my MAC eyeshadows much in the last year but they were calling to me.  My all time favorite eyeshadow in the WORLD is Sable and it is the top left.  The other three are Naked Lunch (top right), Smut (bottom left) and Shore Leave which is limited edition from years ago (bottom right).  This combo is GORGEOUS and I accidentally put them together.  I knew I wanted to use the top two in a look together and recently Shore leave has been my GO TO inner corner highlight.  Smut is always a favorite for the outer v and there you have it… History was made!  Favorite custom MAC quad!

A MAC blush that I have always lusted after is Fleur Power.  I acquired it in a swap at the beginning of the month and fell head over heels for it.  It has been on my cheeks for the majority of the month.  I love it.  Pretty bright pink with a TOUCH of coral.  I am pregnant but every time I wear this people tell me I am radiant.  I know it is the blush!!!

I am also loving the Jurlique Citrus Purifying Mist.  I use it after cleansing to give me a nice hydrated feeling.  It smells wonderful and feels amazing on the skin.  A definite favorite from the Jurlique skincare line I am testing and will post about soon.
Billion Dollar Brows automatic pencil is amazing.  I have been using it non-stop since I purchased it.  Seriously–no other product has touched my brows since I opened it’s package.  I reviewed it previously here.
NARS Eyeshadow Base has been a favorite this month.  My hormones have my eyelids going nuts.  Bases that have never allowed creasing (on me) before aren’t working now.  I went through a few different ones and reached for this trusty base and it actually is working.  Thank the lord!  I haven’t given it a full on review yet but here is the haul post that I did when I received it a year and a half ago! WOW, right?
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in 2-Light has been my most reached for concealer.  I always love it but recently I have been relying on it and it alone to perfect my complexion.  I have tried not to use any foundation because my face has cleared up a great deal and this has really done the trick.  I need to get a  new one pretty soon.  It is about tapped.
I just recently reviewed the Laura Mercier Deluxe Travel Brush Collection and two of my favorite brushes this month came from it.  The Blush Brush is absolute perfection.  I haven’t ever used a paddle shaped blush brush before but it is really great for precision–which I need sometimes because I have big ole cheeks!  When I smile you can see I actually have pretty nice cheek bones but the precision of blush application really helps that stand out.  The other standout brush in this set is the dual-ended Smudge/Flat Eye Liner brush.  These are both full size brushes, they are just dual ended.  The eyeliner brush comes to a perfect thin point and I like that it isn’t angled.  The Smudge side is the real standout though.  I apply inner corner highlight, eyeshadow on the lower lash line AND smudge my eyeliner with it.  It is amazing.
What are your October 2012 Favorites?  Do any of our favorites match?  Let me know in the comments below!  Also let me know if you would like me to do monthly favorites consistently like I used to!  I enjoy doing them but I sort of stopped at the risk of sounding redundant!
*Some of the products mentioned in this post were provided for editorial consideration.  In no way is this post sponsored.  All opinions are completely my own.

Favorite Highlighters and Bronzers

I haven’t done a “Monthly Favorites” in a couple of months.  I have really just been unmotivated.  The things that I love are the things that I review.  I don’t review LOTS of things I try because I don’t feel compelled to talk about them.  I am going to let this post stand as my past two months of favorites.  My Newest Addiction’s Favorite Highlighters and Bronzers.

I tried to stick to the things I reach for the most.  That being said, I try to use something different all the time for review purposes but these are my tried and true.  I numbered the next picture because that is the only way I could keep this post semi-organized without telling you over and over which was what.

(1) Rouge Bunny Rouge Sea of Nectar is a gorgeous highlight that is somewhere between a rose gold color and a light copper.  It has a fabulous refined shimmer/sheen and smells delightful.  Because of the actual shade people may tend to wear it more in the summer but it really is beautiful all year round.  I started wearing it during the winter months and I loved it.  It retails for $55 for 30ml of product at and

(2) Guerlain Meteorites in Teint Beige is a beautiful product.  A lot of times I use it as an all over face powder, but when I go for a matte look I love to highlight with this product because it doesn’t take away from the matte effect, it just really illuminates the high points of the face.  The best way I can describe it is glowy.  It retails for $58 and is sold at Nordstrom, Sephora, and anywhere else Guerlain is sold.

(3) Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous is a gorgeous Limited Edition rose gold highlighter.  It has a gorgeous metallic (but can be subtle) shimmer/sheen.  You can find Laura Mercier products at Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and anywhere else Laura Mercier Cosmetics are sold.
(4) NARS Copacabana Illuminator is absolutely gorgeous.  I don’t have this in full size.  I got a generous sample of this from Sephora a while back and will be purchasing the full size very soon.  This one is close to being dried up because the container they stick them in aren’t air tight.  I have had it a long time now but a little goes a long way.  It retails for $30 and can be found at NARS, Sephora, Nordstrom,, Barney’s, and anywhere else NARS is sold.

(5) Edward Bess Ultra Luminous Daydream Bronzer is a gorgeous bronzer.  The one I have is in the older packaging.  It is best described as a subtle tan color.  This bronzer retails for $45 and the only place that I know that sells this is Sephora.
(6) Too Faced Chocolate Soliel bronzer in Chocolate is a gorgeous matte medium-deep colored bronzer.  It smells like chocolate (and even tastes like it–no I didn’t lick it but when the particles are flying in the air you can taste it!)  It is actually made with real cocoa in it so that is fabulous.  It retails for $29 and you can find it at a lot of locations.  SkincareRX, Sephora, Ulta, and anywhere else you can find Too Faced products.

Here are the swatches in order, left to right, of the way they are numbered in the pictures above.
RBR SoN, Guerlain Ballz, LM RR, NARS Copacabana, EB Daydream, TF Chocolate Soliel.

Same order as above, but indoors with flash.

They are gorgeous aren’t they?  What is your favorite highlighter and bronzer?  I would love to know!  I am always expanding my collection.  Tell me in the comments below!

June 2012 Favorites

I am a few days late but here it is: June 2012 Beauty Favorites.

As you see it is a lot of products again.  :/  Sorry.  I felt I needed to mention everything I loved.

I did a recent blog post on the Sonia Kaskuk brush set that I bought in June and I have been using all of them sooo much.  I am very impressed in the quality of them.  To be specific I love the blush brush and bent liner brush.  The blush brush is perfect.  The right density as well as the right size.  It has improved my application process.  The bent liner brush is very similar to the regular one in her line.  Only difference is that the handle is a little larger and feels a bit more sturdy in my hand.
I also want to mention the Sigma E45 brush.  I also acquired this brush this month and have been using it non-stop.  I not only wing my liner but I also enjoy winging up my eyeshadow and this brush shape is perfect for that.  I don’t know how I did the shape without it now.

On to some face products:  I have been using the next few items daily.  By Terry Touche Veloutee has been my savior for the mornings that I need to get out the door extremely fast.  I cover my problem areas with it and am done.
I got a kit from Sephora a couple of months ago that had a lot of go-to summer necessities and the next two items came in that kit.  To be honest, the next two items are a couple of the main reasons I bought that kit altogether.  Dr. Jart+ Premium BB cream has been one of my go-to products for the last couple months but more-so recently.  It blends into my skin quick and looks like it IS my skin.
Origins VitaZing is one of my staple products.  I have gone through 2-3 full sized tubes of this and am now using the deluxe sample size.  I use this as a moisturizer and cover most days.  It doesn’t bother my skin and I think it suits my skintone well.  I know that some people complain that it casts an orange tint to them but I have never had that effect myself.

The next couple pictures are swatches of the product.
L to R: Dr Jart+ Premium BB, Origins VitaZing, By Terry Touche Veloutee

I know they sort of blended together in the next picture but you can see the color difference.

More face/skincare products…
Sheer Cover Concealer duo has been awesome on the go.  It has stayed in my purse the entire month.  Sometimes I need to touchup throughout the day and I have been packing this with me to do just that.  It applies nicely over powder and never looks cakey.
Bare Minerals BareVitamins Eye Rev-er Upper has been a god-send this month.  I haven’t been getting much sleep lately (mostly because I work all day and blog all night) and I have needed that extra boost to my under eyes in the morning.  It has this almost pearlescent finish which helps brighten up the area.
Giorgio Armani Youth Regenerator has been a favorite for a couple months now.  I mentioned it before and I would like to update that it is still working great.  I ADORE the scent as well as the way my skin feels afterwards.

Brow and lash products have been a win all the way around this month.  Specifically I have been loving the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill (original) mascara and it is perfect for me.  I am sad because it is dying but that just allows me room to review more mascaras for you ladies, right?  I have done several Instagram pics of myself in this mascara and I am truly impressed.

I have two favorite brow products this time.  Revlon Brow Fantasy has been a great friend of my brows lately.  The pencil is pigmented and the color really blends in PERFECTLY with my hair color.  Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel has been great when I have been in a pinch and used an eyeshadow (in whatever palette I did my eyeshadow with) as my brow definer.  I would also like to mention that this is always in my purse as well.  Almost never gets removed from my purse.  Nice product to have with you when you are on the go.

Eyeshadows…  I have been keeping it simple lately.  I love the Rouge Bunny Rouge Caress of Mink loose eyeshadow all over the lid and blended out with a lighter shade.  It is a perfect taupe.  The RevitaLash Spotlight Highlighting Pencil has been the product I reach for to highlight my inner corners.  My bases have changed up a bit this month.  I have been switching out MAC Groundwork Paint Pot and Laura Mercier Cream Eyeshadowin Platinum.  I use Groundwork when I want a nice simple, more natural look and Platinum when I want to glam it up a bit.

These products are all very different in type but they all work together perfectly.

L to R:
Rouge Bunny Rouge Caress of Mink, RevitaLash Spotlight, MAC Groundwork, Laura Mercier Platinum

Natural Lighting

My favorite lip products this month were YSL Rouge Volupte in Rose Opera, Giorgio Armani Beige 102, and Laura Mercier gloss in Opal.  These three items I did have to dig out of my purse to be able to photograph them.
My most worn item for lips is usually a balm but when I want to add a little color I usually first reach for a gloss.  Laura Mercier Opal is a beautiful barely there color that adds a brilliant shimmer to your pout.
YSL Rouge Volupte in Rose Opera is a powerful bright pink.  These lipsticks smell so good and taste good too.  They feel amazing on the lips!  I can not rave enough about this.  The pigmentation in this shade actually stains my lips a bit, which is also nice.
I am a nude lover and Giorgio Armani in Beige 102 is my perfect pinky nude.  It has no shimmer, and it is the most perfect creamy lip product I think I have ever used.

Swatches L to R:
Giorgio Armani Beige 102, YSL Rose Opera, Laura Mercier Opal

Natural Light

Also, I am not the HUGEST country music fan even though I enjoy much of the feel good stuff! This has been my favorite song since I first heard it…. it is sooooo me and how I spend most of any extra time I have!  Enjoy! PONTOOOOOOOOOOON!  And I love the makeup!

That is it for my June Favorites.  What were your favorites this month?  What couldn’t you live without (dramatic I know)?  Let me know in the comments below!  Give me ideas for my next purchase, ladies!
