I love the notion of resetting your life in the new year. It is such a great time to let go of baggage, while also welcoming bright new options. I usually want to redecorate my home, shed some unwanted weight that was packed on during the holidays, change my hair color, as well as switch up my beauty routine.
I haven’t struggled with any skin related issues in a long time now, but I have noticed that my once oily skin has started to feel a bit more dry. I don’t know if that is because I am inching my way to my mid 30s or if the winter has just been insane, but I decided that I wanted to incorporate a few hydrating products. Neutrogena makes great foundations, so their new Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint was definitely high on my list. While I was at Walmart picking that up I found a couple other items that intrigued me as well.
Before I go into too much detail about the foundation, I want to say that I LOVE that it comes with a doe foot applicator. It has the ease of a concealer applicator and the large surface area allows you to pick up a nice amount of product to spread over your entire face. I don’t know why foundations haven’t included a doe foot applicator all along. It is truly so easy to use.
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint also wears beautifully. I gravitate to makeup that doesn’t feel or look to heavy on the skin. This one has my skin looking like I am glowing from within and it actually gives it a plumping effect, which I TRULY appreciate. It contains hyaluronic acid. My skin LOVES hyaluronic acid.
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine was available in 8 different lip colors, but of course I chose the nude/neutral option called Berry Brown. I love the way it glides right onto the lips without being sticky. It is super hydrating so my lips feel like I am wearing a balm. I didn’t expect it to leave too much of a color behind, but I was pleasantly surprised that it did deposit a little color.
The SkinClearing Blemish Concealer is kind of awesome. It is a 2-in-1 makeup and skin care product. It’s non-comedogenic formula is easy to apply and looks really natural on the skin. It covers and helps prevent blemishes. It contains my skin’s other favorite ingredient, which is salicylic acid.
I have been using the products together all week and I am already a big fan. I highly recommend trying them. I love discovering high quality products from the drugstore, and I hope that you try out everything I have talked about today. ESPECIALLY the Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint! Not only does it make your skin look great immediately, it improves your skin as time goes on! Win, win!
