Summer makeup collections speak to me in ways that other collections don’t. I LOVE the colors of typical Fall beauty collections, but there is something about the sheer, moisturizing, almost-naked type of beauty products that come out in the summer that just make my soul sing. Two of my favorite pieces from the TOM FORD Soleil Collection for Summer 2016 collection (available at Sephora) are the Bicoastal Blush and Carriacou Moisturecore Lip Color.
TOM FORD Bicoastal Blush
The TOM FORD Bicoastal Blush is a highlighter and blush duo with petal-pink cheek colors to bring a light-reflective finish to bronzed summer skin. I don’t actually have bronzed skin but it is a few shades darker than my typical pale white. I have been using just the bottom mostly but even when I blend the two shades together, magic happens.
I am obsessed with both shades. They really feel like silk and the pigmentation is beautiful. When I use a blush brush to apply the color to my cheeks it instantly blends out and looks fresh and natural. OBSESSED. I actually ended up buying a back up of this blush. It is my first backup I have bought in years.
TOM FORD Carriacou Moisturecore Lip Color
The TOM FORD Moisturecore Lip Color is a luminous, lightweight lipstick with an innovative, moisturizing liquid core. It is, in my opinion, a lipstick and balm in one. The color is gorgeous and the hydration is definitely there. Moisturecore Lip Color has a liquid core that’s infused with passion fruit oil to provide lips with luxurious moisture in a pink pop of color. It’s infused with an exotic blend of melon fruit extract, murumuru butter, and plant-derived esters to condition lips, and a luminous lip color encases the center. Subtle flecks of golden pearl flatter bronzed, summer skin, and the shades range from sandy nude to rosy mauve, creating a soft veil of lightweight color that lasts for hours.
