I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Vanity Fair. I received product samples to facilitate my review and compensation to thank me for my participation.
As you may have picked up on over the last week if you follow me on Instagram and Twitter, I have been chosen to be an ambassador for Vanity Fair. Last week all of the ambassadors took a little trip to NYC to visit their show room and learned a lot about the brand. I am so excited to share what I learned with you all. First I want to talk to you a minute about Women Who Do.
Right now women everywhere are doing. Sometimes we don’t even realize the power we have but between running your own business or running your household, all the decisions fall back on us. That is a lot of pressure to put on a single person day in and day out but we all do it so well we hardly realize what just happened. Doing all we can to support each other is also something that women do well. Sometimes a little support really does good for the soul. That rings true in life and in our bras.
For nearly 100 years now, Vanity Fair lingerie has been the brand that women look to for undeniable support, lift and elegance. When I told my grandmother that I was going to be an ambassador for the brand she told me that she has exclusively worn vanity fair for the majority of the 80 years she has been on the planet. My grandmother is a smart woman and basically one of my biggest inspirations so when she says something, I am of the firm belief that I should just listen and take it to heart without question. And when it comes to Vanity Fair, she was right.
I don’t know about you but I have been in pain for most of my life and that was caused by the bra I was wearing. I am sure you can all remember a day (if not everyday) when you took your bra off and just sighed in relief. I know you have… My favorite part of attending the Vanity Fair Blogger Summit was when Kristen Supulski, Director of Merchandising for Vanity Fair, showed us the entire collection of Vanity Fair bras and underwear and explained the reasoning behind the way their pieces are cut and how a strap is supposed to fit. Let me tell you, it was an eye opening experience. I learned that I have been in pain because I was doing it all wrong.
She spoke about how making style and comfort effortless for every woman was important to the brand and how having available styles that are on-trend yet incredibly functional is always a focus. She explained what goes into finding a good fit and it is a lot to take in, which is why I am going to tell everyone from now on, “GO GET FITTED FOR A BRA.” It is a life changing experience. Eight out of 10 women wear the incorrect bra size and Vanity Fair hopes to change that statistic by providing women opportunities to find the right fit, so it is fitting that after Kristen told us all about Vanity Fair, the team took our entire group to Macy’s to get a bra fitting and for us to buy bras that fit. I got in the dressing room at Macy’s with my fitter and she had me try on what size I thought I was and then she came back with a bra that was the PROPER size. Let me tell you, letters and numbers we rearranged and I am a changed woman.
The bra that I ended up falling head over heels for is the Vanity Fair Beauty Back Full Figure and it is like heaven. My shoulders aren’t weighted down, I don’t feel squished and I like the silhouette it creates. And what is even funnier is that I actually look like I lost weight when I haven’t, that is what a good fit in a great bra will get you!
Tell me in the comments below, have you ever been fitted for a bra? If you have were you shocked?
