Recently Covergirl came out with a couple new products and I have had them sitting on my desk for a couple weeks. I finally remembered to grab for them when I was getting read to go out a couple nights ago and I wanted to show you the results. The Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara and Covergirl Intensify Me Eyeliner are the specific products I am talking about. I know that there are a lot of reviews out there for this right now so I hope that you find my review helpful!
So I am going to start off with my favorite of the two products which happens to be the Covergirl Intensify Me Liquid eyeliner. It is actually a really cool eyeliner and specifically it is one that I was interested in immediately because of the applicator.
Get the control of a pencil with the intensity of a liquid eyeliner for beautifully defined eyes every time. Our all-new paddle-shaped tip gives you two looks in one—thick and dramatic or thin and elegant. The intense black formula glides on smoothly and dries quickly for instant drama. Clinically tested, suitable eyeliner for sensitive eyes.
I personally like to have a thinner line on the inside of my eyelids and towards the middle I like to thicken it up and THEN bring it back down to a thinner line for a wing. This liner actually makes that possible with one swipe of the brush. Really fabulous.
Covergirl The Super Size mascara is supposed to increase the volume of your lashes and really fan them out. The brush/wand is a plastic type brush and the bristles are all different lengths depending on how you turn the brush or where you use it.
The Super Sizer by LashBlast Waterproof Mascara gives you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for fanned out, full eyelashes. Our breakthrough Lash Styler transforms even small lashes — just twirl as you apply it to your lashes for an instantly Super Sized lash look. Opthalmologically tested, this volumizing mascara is suitable for those who wear contact lenses. Removes easily with oil-based makeup remover.
The instructions tell you to twirl the brush, which is something that I actually do and have been doing since high school so I totally agree but for me this mascara just isn’t what I like. I have always been more interested in using regular bristle wands over plastic ones and I think its just my lashes and what they respond to. The mascara is definitely fine and nothing is wrong with it, but the brush isn’t my favorite.
You can really see the versatility of the eyeliner in the swatches below. Think thick and with one smooth stroke of your applicator you can get a little of both.
You can see that my picture below shows really great liner with kinda “meh” mascara and that really reflects my opinions on the products as a whole. I think the liner is phenomenal but the mascara is just okay for me.
