Liners are so exciting for me, especially when there is something new and exciting. Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliners are said to be long-wearing, intensely pigmented, and have a metallic foil finish. There are four shades: Black Gold Foil, Purple Foil, Brown Foil, and Navy Foil. Each of them are a very dark, blacked version of the color they are named for.
This is so new, it’s hopping right off the Milan runway and into your makeup bag. A truly next-level eyeliner, it gets its richness from a black base that blasts the luminosity, creating a shiny, shimmery special effect that lights up your eyes. Blackened jewel tones with a foil finish, these can be used for lining or a full-on lid look. And there are two great ways to play these blendable beauties: For a “classic cat” look, extend the color just past the lashline. For a “smoldering smoky” vibe, gently blend upward from the lashline to the crease. Available in four chic shades – Black Gold Foil, Brown Foil, Purple Foil and Navy Foil – with a custom pro brush that deposits color exactly where you want it. Glow for it.
The color is so insanely pigmented. You can see the flash of metallic and foiled flecks in some in my fingertip swatches. They are so amazingly gorgeous in this form and create a GORGEOUS smokey eye because they show up just like it shows here. As far as liners go, I only see specs of shimmers that catch the light when I turn. I tried to get pictures of it on my eye so that you could see the flashes, but it just didn’t work out. I decided to demonstrate on the back of my hand and I was able to capture the flashes of color. This is the Black Gold Foil (top lines) and the Purple Foil (bottom lines).
These liners say that they are long-wearing and I will say that I think they are pretty decent. They do crease on me when I wear them as a smokey eye, but I have extremely oily lids. I think that if you don’t have oily lids and wear a nice primer these should last really well.
My overall thoughts? I think that the Milani Fierce Foil Eyeliners are pretty good. If I was grading them I would give them a B. They do crease on me so I can’t say that they are long wearing, but they sure are gorgeous. Each of these eyeliners retail for $6.99 on the brands website.
So tell me in the comments below: Do you love the foiled look?
