We are now in the month of November and as much as I love Thanksgiving and don’t believe in skipping right over it, I am already starting my Christmas shopping. This year I want to bring more meaning to the things I gift my children and that notion sparked some serious thought. I want to give my kids something that is memorable and fun. I really want to give my kids snow.
We have lived here in Florida for the last 6 years and that means he has never experienced snow. In his first few years of life we were surrounded by snow because we lived in Tennessee, but the military has moved us further south. Don’t get me wrong. I love warmer weather and all that, but there is something about a beautiful snow around the Holidays. It just adds to the magical ambiance of Christmas lights. Hallmark has come out with the Northpole line, which is a keepsake line of holiday toys based on the new Northpole movie coming out on the Hallmark channel. And there some things in this line that will help me bring snow to my son for Christmas!
There are several pieces sold in this collection, including two books. I bought the Once Upon A Northpole Christmas that has a beautiful Find Me, Santa! Snowflake attached to it. The 32 page book is a precious story that is perfect for bedtime reading during the month of December. The beautiful Snowflake includes LED lights that change colors for a light show to signal where Santa can find you. I don’t know about you, but are you worried to travel a longer distance during Christmas because the kids are sure that Santa wont find them? Well, this will help you put your kiddos at ease!
And now for the fun stuff. Remember how I said I want to bring my kids snow. These next two items will help me make that a reality. The first thing is more for my daughter than my son. The Magic Snowball lets you bring the snow indoors and you can toss it around and watch it glow. My daughter is obsessed with throwing balls. In fact, it was so difficult trying to capture a photo of this snowball in her hands because she kept tossing it around to watch the thing light up. So cute.
Rare shot of her being still… mesmerized by the glowing snowball.
This next item is going to be pretty special. It is called Snow NOW! This is actually a powder that you add to water to make snow…. NOW! I actually bought a bunch of these because I want to make a snow man (even if it will be on the small side) on Christmas morning with him. The extra cans are hiding in my closet as we speak because I want it to be a surprise.

I picked up all of these things at my local Walmart so be sure and check there for these and A TON more awesome options!
