NARS Cosmetics recently came out with a new complexion product, the All Day Luminous Powder Foundation. Because I do have oily skin I really like a powder foundation. Powder foundations typically keep oils at bay a bit better than other forms because it is a powder and has absorption qualities. They also tend to have that cakey powdery look that gives them a bad name, unfortunately. This one is unique in the fact that it is super lightweight and beautifully luminous.
This powder is silky and fine, but definitely gives enough coverage for my needs. I do have a lot of redness as well as some fading acne spots, so coverage is really a thing that I need. It also leaves behind a velvety soft finish.
The packaging on the All Day Luminous Powder Foundation is very different for NARS. They usually have the long rectangle packaging, but this square design is reminiscent of the packaging of the Dual Intensity Eyeshadows. I personally really like the squareness! :D The powder lifts up to show a hidden compartment that holds a nice sponge. I don’t personally use sponges that come with products for everyday use, but I love keeping a powder in my purse for touch ups and they come in handy then.
The picture below is pretty terrible of me (which is not the powder’s fault), but you can see that the coverage is pretty bad ass! I have a lot of freckles that seemingly disappeared (that wasn’t intentional) and all of the redness is gone. All Day Luminous Powder Foundation also leaves an amazing natural finish to the skin. I really love this powder. You may have noticed it in a few of my recent posts too! I am going to try and update this post with a decent picture that will do it justice soon! haha
I personally like using this powder with the Sigma F80. It is a brush that I really love using with powder foundations. It buffs the powder onto the skin and all of my flaws disappear with it. It helps the powder create that smooth, natural finish with hardly any effort.
NARS All Day Luminous Powder foundation can be found at NARSCosmetics.com. There are 15 shades available, which is more than enough to suit most skin tones.
