Lips are typically the focus of a Fall beauty routine. There is something about a bold lip that is just phenomenal. In order to get the perfect lips, you need a great lip liner. They are the unsung heroes of the lip world. When someone sees a spectacular lip look they usually aren’t saying, “I bet she is wearing such and such lip liner!” NARS Velvet Lip Liners are so amazing they might just change all of that!
“NARS Velvet Lip Liner defines lips with precision pigment-rich color depth that perfectly frames, fills and prevents feathering. Smooth creamy formula glides on comfortably, stays sharp and lasts long.” – NARS Cosmetics
I have two shades of the NARS Velvet Lip Liner to show you today – Belle Mare and Patong Beach. Belle Mare is described as a sangria, and I would agree. I think it is the most beautiful, deep berry shade ever. Patong Beach is a beautiful pink rose.
I feel like these two shades sort of cover my spectrum of lip looks. I typically keep my lips very nude but if I do opt for color, it is usually in the berry family. The formula of the NARS Velvet Lip Liner is amazing because it really does apply nice and smooth. Once it sets, it stays. And the design of the pencil is really awesome. It LOOKS like a typical pencil, but it actually twists up.
The most exciting part of this design (which is much like the eyeliners that NARS makes) is that these twist up pencils can actually be sharpened!!! YESSS! The only annoying thing about pencils that twist up is that they are usually flat and dull. I like a good point, so the fact I can sharpen these makes them EVERYTHING! LOVE.
I am probably one of the only people that can get this wound up over a lip liner, but I promise you that if you try the NARS Velvet Lip Liner you wont be disappointed. I KIND OF think I need them all! You can pick them up RIGHT NOW at NARSCosmetics.com, Sephora, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s.
