I recently had the extreme pleasure of trying out some stuff from The Gnarly Whale. I really love the name of the company and what they represent! In case you aren’t familiar, all of their products are 100% vegan and cruelty free. Final product testing of all the products are done on humans. Their goal is to provide minimal ingredient, vegan bath and beauty luxuries to men and women around the world while leaving the Earth a better place than when they found it. After trying the few things I have here, I would absolutely volunteer to help with all their testing! haha
First up I have their Lemon Green Tea Toner. I am a toner fanatic. I feel like once I finally incorporated using a toner into my regimen my face thanked me 10 fold. The Gnarly Whale’s toners don’t use alcohol so it is perfect for those with sensitive skin. It actually contains green tea and chamomile, which is loaded with antioxidants that really sooth and boost your skin! The scent is nice and refreshing. It really wakes me up with the citrus-y fragrance!
The next two things are actually both Coconut Milk Soaps. One is in the scent Oatmeal Milk & Honey and the other is Pink Grapefruit. Their description reads “Treat your skin with our detergent-free coconut milk soap! Our coconut milk soap creates a rich lather without the use of harsh detergents and helps adds moisture to the cleansing process. Completely vegan.”
Can we just talk about how pretty the Oatmeal Milk & Honey bar is? I love soaps that have scrubby bits in them. This one has oats on the top, which would serve as a gentle exfoliant. I actually cut a slice off of the main bar because I leave my soaps in my shower and I don’t want it to dissolve away the whole bar from getting wet over and over. It comes in a saran wrap-type film, so it can be wrapped back up easily. The scent of this soap is really comforting and soothing. Ahh…
Pink Grapefruit is a very uplifting fragrance and it has a thin layer of sand (?) on the top which provides an invigorating exfoliation. I love it. I have had other soaps in the past that had a thick layer of gritty sand and I felt like it was too much, this thin layer is perfect.
I am kinda obsessed with The Gnarly Whale now and can’t wait to try more stuff! You know if I do, I will tell you all about them. Find all of the things I mentioned today and others on their website!
Tell me in the comments below, have you tried anything from The Gnarly Whale?
