Today I want to show you one of my new favorite things. I have always been a fan of a good winged liner and this Tarte Amazonian Clay Dual Liner is everything. It is one pot with two cream, waterproof liners. Beautiful packaging! Who doesn’t want a snake on a sexy gold cap? :)
“This limited-edition, two-in-one Amazonian clay liner features Tarte’s best-selling waterproof eyeliner in black and gleaming bronze for rich dimension. The quick-dry, stay-put formula gently glides across lids to give eyes precise definition, and the long-wear liquid liner leaves a soft, velvet finish. Blend the two shades together for bold looks, or wear them individually to achieve a dramatic black cat eye, or a softer, smoldering bronze look.”- Tarte Cosmetics
First off, the Tarte Amazonian Clay Dual Liner is beautiful all on it’s own. It kinda looks like a yin-yang! SO pretty that I don’t really want to mess it up. I love 2-in-1 products, because those are the ones that I am going to throw in my travel or “most used” makeup bag. I love that this specific liner can achieve a multitude of looks. You can do a sexy ombre (from bronze to black) liner or one color on top, one on bottom. You could even sheer out the bronze on the eye lid to create a grunge look and then do heavy black liner. So many possibilities.
The pigmentation is really out of this world. The black is super black and the bronze can easily be applied heavily to look like a chocolate brown. It lasted on me a full 10 hours without smudging, though it did fade from my waterline. It probably would have lasted longer but I actually removed it to clean my face. The product itself was easy to glide on and once it set, it was locked in place.
The look I decided to create was the double wing. I applied a super thick bronze wing and then a more precise, thinner black wing. I love this look. Sort of unexpected and so very interesting. I went grocery shopping wearing this eye look and I had several people stop me and say something. When I told them that this little pot of awesome-ness existed they seemed genuinely interested in picking it up!
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Dual Liner retails for $28 and can be found at Sephora!
