Rouge Bunny Rouge has been a favorite brand of mine for a long time now. I have recently tried some pretty awesome products lately that just blow my mind. These are my Rouge Bunny Rouge Favorites, or at least current favorites because I am sure I will say that about whatever I try next too! #lulz
First up is the Rouge Bunny Rouge Genesis Original Skin Primer. I am not always a huge fan of primers but this one is amazing. I usually use a light moisturizer as my “primer”, so for me to say I like one is a big deal. “This primer with an invisible touch instantly fills in wrinkles and smoothes pores to give a perfect, flawless finish. A formula packed with re-texturising ingredients includes special polymers that act as fillers and impart sebum-absorbing properties while the latest generation of silicones ensures exceptional long wear. Evermat derived from the African tree Enanthia Chlorantha, long regarded for its medicinal properties, reduces pores and shine, refines skin texture and reduces sebum secretion.”
I HATE the feeling of silicone on my skin but love the finish — this one doesn’t have that feeling AT ALL. It really makes the texture of my skin appear smooth and it totally helps my face stay mattified. Needless to say, I AM IN LOVE.
A big trend for the last couple years has been translucent finishing powders. The Rouge Bunny Rouge Impalpable Finishing Powder is awesome. “With the incredibly smooth feeling of vaporous silk, a fine dusting of this invisible loose powder softens unwanted flaws and rewards the complexion with an even skin tone and velvety matt finish. Evermat reduces the production of oily sebum to keep shine in check, with the aid of Silica’s absorbing action. Tetrapeptide Matrixyl 3000 brings an anti-wrinkle and smoothing effect while Actiwhite works to lighten and brighten. Due to its super transparency and ability to mattify the skin without drying, all skin tones can benefit from this universal shade that can be used to fix make-up or worn alone to brilliant effect.”
Again, with this complexion product from Rouge Bunny Rouge it helps reduce the production of oil and really smoothes the skin. They are answering all my prayers.
And the packaging is everything. Most of the time these powders just have a plastic sifter that allows way too much product to come out but this one has a nice net that screens it. It is easy to get it out but for the most part it stays in there. I also love that it sort of breaks up the powder when it transfers through. It helps it smooth out on the skin a little easier.
You can totally see in these shots that it seriously smooths lines. These pictures are unblended though, which is why they are visible.
I am a lip gloss fan from way back. I love one that gives off a lot of color and shimmer without being sticky and gritty. The Rouge Bunny Rouge Gleaming Temptations Lip Gloss in Uncaged Tigress is gorgeous. It is a corally pink with multi-colored shimmer.
And you all know I am obsessed with mascara. The Rouge Bunny Rouge Witchery Modelling Mascara is great for length and separation. “With its smart combination of a lightweight formula and a state-of-the-art brush, the Modelling Mascara embellishes your lashes with such ease, that we couldn’t help but name it WITCHERY. The innovative rubber brush allows for the most accurate and impeccable lash-by-lash application, perfectly separating the lashes with no clumping or smudging. The brush tip of our Modelling Mascara is designed to reach even the finest, shortest lashes in the corners of the eyes.”
Here is a look I created with these products and these products only. Primer, powder, lipgloss and mascara can take you a long way when they are as amazing as these.
These Rouge Bunny Rouge Favorites have blown my mind. I would have never walked out of the house and considered myself “made up” without foundation and eyeshadow and much more before trying these things, but these products make me feel comfortable in my own skin. I don’t feel the need to to add more makeup to distract from one thing or the other… I am enjoying just being me! Err… a better version of me!
