Anastasia Beverly Hills has done it again! There is a new kit/palette on the market and it is perfect. It is called Bold and Beautiful Kit and it breaks into two separate palettes. Volume 1: Bold Brows, Volume 2: Beautiful Eyes.
Because it is based on a storybook theme, the broke it up into two separate palettes (or volumes). I love that it breaks it into two separate palettes instead of putting it into one because if you are traveling and want to use one of Anastasia’s other palettes, you don’t have to lug around this entire kit and another palette, you can mix and match without the extra room taken up. If you did want to take this entire kit along (because it does have awesome staple colors in it) then you are in luck because the entire kit fits inside the palm of my hand.
Vol. 1: Bold Brows
I first fell in love with Anastasia products due to the believable color and high quality. The products being believable is important because using a weird tone can look terrible and mess up an entirely perfect eye look.
This kit includes a colored pomade, a taupe brow color, a pair of tweezers, and a dual-ended brush. One end of the brush is a spoolie and the other end is angled.
The brow color is a nice neutral taupe shade. It will be universally flattering for blondes or brunettes. And quite honestly, the taupe shade is quite beautiful and pretty nice to pop in the crease for any eye look. The pomade is a lot like a wax and really is able to hold stray hairs in place. This color is perfect for adding a little more depth to the brow powder, perfect if your hair color is on the darker side.
Vol. 2: Beautiful Eyes
This palette includes 4 eyeshadow colors: a matte cream shade, a peachy pink shimmer, a satin tan, and a deep black/brown with shimmers.
As you can see in the swatches, they are nicely pigmented and perfect for creating most eye looks.
The swatches on my arm are one swipe transfers and as you can see it translates perfectly. It is absolutely perfect for anyone from beginners to pros. If you wanted more intense color, FEEL FREE to wear them wet.
I also received a PR booklet that shows some of the makeup looks inspired from some amazing books.
First up is The Great Gatsby: The look is based on Daisy. “A New Money Smokey Eye.”
Another book is The Hunger Games: District 12 “A Capitol Eye”.
Another gorgeous look is based from Anna Karenina. Anna’s Gaze “A Refined Smokey Eye”.
And the final look in the press kit is from Valley of the Dolls. It is based on Neely, “A Catty Eye”.
Though these eye looks are gorgeous I wanted to create something similar yet original. Here is a look I did with the palette and I made it my Valentine’s Day look! I hope you enjoy the video!
Thanks for taking a minute to read my review and watch my video! You are greatly appreciated!
