Translucent powders are all over the place but there are few that can do all of the great things that It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores can!
“Bye Bye Pores Antiaging Silk HD Micro-Powder is a colorless face-finishing powder that instantly blurs away pores, fines lines, and imperfections to give you a flawless, airbrushed finish. It absorbs oil and shine, sets makeup, and helps to diffuse the appearance of wrinkles and pores.”
The information shared above is from a product information page on QVC. It sums it up perfectly! This powder is a do-everything setting powder.
Bye Bye Pores offers a translucent finish, and is infused with real silk for a pore-less, airbrushed look. The truly innovative formula contains high concentrations of Vitamins A, C, E & K which are clinically proven to reduce discoloration while warding off free0radicals throughout the day. Plus the hydrolyzed cologne works to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.
An added bonus: it is TALC FREE! Talc particles, which is the main ingredient in most powders, are square in shape which clings to fine lines and wrinkles when they are applied, making the skin look dryer and older. Bye Bye Pores utilizes spherical technology in the form of silica which is a round particle designed to float on the skin and blur out imperfections. Another added bonus is that it absorbs oil and gives a matte finish, while keeping you looking airbrushed all day.
The packaging is a simple, see-thru jar with a black screw on lid.
The inside has a sifter and a powder puff. I do not use the powder puff to apply makeup to my face but I love the fact that it is included because it stops the sifter from allowing product out while the jar is closed. Important if you ask me. Who wants a messy jar of loose powder?
Bye Bye Pores is translucent and goes on perfectly colorless, so it’s perfect on all skin tones. Plus it’s really good for you! It is talc-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, oil-free and both hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.
As you can see in the picture above I accidentally applied wayyyy to much powder to my wrist. I chose my wrist because there is an abundance of fine lines and wrinkles in that area and I wanted to put this powder to the test. In the before picture you can see the massive amount of product applied, in the after picture all you see is perfected skin. The skin doesn’t have a white cast and looks extremely smooth in texture. I used the Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush to blend in the powder.
“Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush Brush is the most ultra-luxe, ultra-plush tools for perfect airbrush application.”
The Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush is made 100% cruelty free. It has an ultra-high brush hair count and it sets a new standard for quality. It gives you the most effective distribution of powder.
To use: Swirl the brush into your favorite pressed or loose powder and softly apply in sweeping, circular motions. Or, for a bit of dream-like pampering session, just glide the brush along your skin with or without powder! I know I do! It feels soooo soft!
I hope you have found this post helpful. I enjoy both the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores and Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush sooo much! I cannot say enough good things about them. The powder retails for $24 on it’s own and the brush retails for $48 on it’s own. They are usually sold in a duo at a super-steal price on QVC.com.
